Effective blackout blinds, ideal for projection rooms
I have a projector and screen in a room at home that I use to watch movies, so I got this blackout blind to help create as dark a room as possible to do this. It was very easy to put the blind up and I'm glad to say that it worked really well in darkening my movie room. It was also easy to remove to get the room back to normal, so I am very happy with it.

Large lightweight blackout blind - material needed prizing apart as stuck together on arrival
This review is for 'Portable Blackout Blinds for Bedroom 300cm x145cm Temporary Black Out Blind Stick On Window... No Drill Blinds with Velcro for Car Travel... Fits Any Size Shape.' (Brand: Mezere)This blackout blind material arrives in a re-sealable bag. Also included is a tape measure, some hook and loop patches and self-adhesive circles. The material is black on one side and silver on the reverse - it is lightweight but feels strong. The sheet that I received had completely stuck to itself whilst folded, so ALL of the silver side was stuck together! I did manage to prize it apart without ripping it but it took me about fifteen minutes! To install it, just measure and cut the material to size and then stick it against the window using the self-adhesive hook and loop patches. The silver side of the material goes against the window to reflect sunlight back outside. The blind is very effective in making the room really dark. It is ideal to use to block out the light and heat on days which are too hot and too bright!I am taking off 2 stars as mine was stuck together so completely (every little bit of it!) on arrival!

Not a fan
I got these to black out my windows as my blind let light through every morning. I was very disappointed with these ones. The material itself felt strong, but it also felt cheap and that it can easily be damaged. The velcro, which is used to stick it on, isn't enough. The full length and height of the blackout blind isn't covered. The worst thing about it all is that it isn't even blackout, it still let light through! So I gave up and took it off and never used it again. Pretty pointless I think.

Lets a multitude of pinpricks of light through, and some larger areas.
The media could not be loaded. A project that I am undertaking at the moment is taking far too long to materialise. That is largely due to the fact that I have been pondering over how best to make the blackout screen that I am making into an effective blocker of light and not just a screen. This blind material seems like it could be the perfect answer. I like the fact that it is held in position by velcro but can only wait and see if sufficient velcro is supplied to go right around the perimeter of the two panes that comprise the sliding blind that I am making. I didn't find the listing to be particularly clear about the amount of velcro supplied However, in respect of the blind material itself, being 3m by 1.45m, I have no doubt that there will be plenty to do the job.As it turned out there wasn't nearly enough velcro to go around the full perimeter of the supplied piece. That would have taken 9m. What was supplied were 10 pieces, each 10cm long to make a total of 1m.When I inspected the blind, using a strong torch behind it, I was very surprised and upset, to see a multitude of small areas where light was penetrating past the supposedly lightproof barrier. My workaround for this was to use a double layer but you obviously shouldn't have to do that and may not have enough material anyway. The blind is not too heavy and so it can easily be cut with scissors. I chose to make my pieces oversize in order to be certain of full coverage and then I made small cuts at each corner to get the material to lie flat against pane and frame and applied a bead of super glue to keep things in place. As this surface would be on the inside of my blind I wasn't overly concerned with the aesthetics. The last thing I wanted to do was end up with a line of sunlight around the edges. If using the supplied velcro, which has adhesive one surface, it should be possible to remove the blind whilst leaving the velcro attached to window and blind. Alternatively use the dots which are sticky on both sides for a more permanent fixation I am not too convinced about peeling the blind off and reusing it elsewhere if these dots have been used but perhaps it will work. In any case mine has been fitted once and will stay that way.Value wise I think Β£12.99 would represent a good deal for the amount of fabric you receive but only if it was a 100% blackout material as claimed. As it is I cannot recommend it and would advise you to look elsewhere.

Very large lightweight blackout blind
Very large lightweight blackout blind. This is excellent, it's very very lightweight which is necessary as it's so large. I've used the velcro strips to attach this to the backside of a curtain and it's held up easily as it's so lightweight.

Not blackout
I must admit that I was disappointed. The material used isn't up to the job and let's too much light through.

Very disappointing
I ordered this to block the harsh sun through my office window in the Summer months. How hard can it be?Well this is advertised as 'high-quality Oxford fabric' which is totally incorrect. Oxford implies an Oxford weave - woven fabric. This is not woven for sure. The material arrives folded into a square roughly 8" across and must be unfolded. My initial concern was the thick, inflexible nature of the material and the big creases. This was not however the actual problem. The material was thick and inflexible because once unfolded you realise it's still folded in half, with the silver surface on the inside. And thoroughly stuck to itself!Peeling apart the two layers was a significant effort and took quite some time. That's really not on.And when pulling apart the layers it was frequenly very obvious that the silver surface was being damaged and many little holes appeared.I held it up to the sun-lit window and hundreds of specks of light were shown.So:1) Badly advertised2) Badly made3) Not fit for purpose.Only worth one star as a result. You do get a lot of material, and once unfolded it's thin and flexible and could be used for all sorts. But it's no good for blackout purposes. Finally I should note a minor thing - the material smells quite strongly when opened. I'm sure this will fade as such plastics typically do, but if you're smell-sensitive this is worth knowing!
