The 07 center brace that this mounts to on an 07-11 is not screwed in...but riveted in. You have to drill the rivets. They give you these BS rubber inserts than are NOT sturdy. Even when snug the radio, which his a micro CB, bounced around. I got some metal expanding nuts and put them in place of the rubber nut-sets. Now its very sturdy but this was a serious job and not simple. I thought this would be a 30 minute install...not even close. In retrospect I probably would have been better off just finding a different place to mount the CB...but oh well. its done.

I wish I would have read the other reviews better before purchasing. My main gripe is the antenna bracket. Like other customers have stated, the bracket is tilted to the right. I used my iPhone level program and it shows 3 degrees. Doesn’t Rugged Ridge or Amazon read these reviews? Rugged Ridge needs to fix this product or Amazon shouldn’t allow them to sell it in this condition. Crazy….The other issue is the coating needs sanded off so, you can get a good ground. The CB mount worked as advertised and it is supporting my President radio with no problems.

This mount did exactly as advertised. I was able to mount both parts in under 10 minutes, and it took a couple of hours to get my CB up and running. Many people have said that you cannot fit a full size CB in it, but I was able to mount a Bearcat 880 with minimal work and no bouncing. I just drilled holes higher on the CB cross bracket and bolted that over the Rugged Ridge mount. It clears the electronic mirror in my 2015 by about 1/8 inches, and there is still room to get to my freedom panels. The only problem you may have with full size units is if you have a longer one like the Cobra 29. I had to put a 90 degree coax connector in the back of my 880 to make everything neat. I mounted a 3 ft antenna to the tire mount and ran a jumper between the bottom of the coax connector and one of the mounting bolts. Doing this, I was able to get a SWR of 1.0 on all channels, and I can still squeeze into my garage. I am still playing with it, but I know that I can get a clear signal at 2 miles, and I was able to pick up some chatter from the truck stop about 15 miles away. I highly recommend this combo set to anyone looking to make their installation easy.

This antenna mount needs a bottoms up redesign.1) the bolt holes are way too big for the bolt diameter. The bracket will never stay locked in one position, antenna will never stay straight. The bolts can only be torqued to 10 ft-lbs..2) the bracket material is way too thick for a normal Firestik antenna mount. The bracket is +.200" thick and anything over .125 is excessive and does aglow enough threads to stick through.3) the two top hole for the Firestik antenna base mount are too large. The should be .500" and they are way larger than that.I ended up cutting the whole top portion of the bracket off and welding on a piece of 1/8" angle with one "500" hole. They need to totally rework this product.

The antenna mount fit well and is very sturdy. But, it obviously was not designed by someone familiar with radio installations. The mount is made of carbon steel and powder coated. CB antennas need a good connection to ground. That is impossible without scraping the powder coat off of the mount, exposing the bare steel to the elements and inevitable rusting.This mount should be made of uncoated stainless steel so that it can be both conductive and corrosion resistant.The solution is to run a ground strap from a mounting bolt to the antenna mount ground.

This kit would have been alright if some key issues were ironed out before it was put into production. Firstly the radio mounting bracket is too flimsy if you are using a full size CB. I have a Uniden Bearcat 980S and it would constantly bounce due to the bracket not being rigid enough for a radio like that. Secondly, the antenna mount would have been great had it been level. After I mounted it and put my Firestik antenna on it, you could tell the antenna was canted a few degrees to the right when looking at the back of the Jeep. I returned the kit and headed over to Quadratec.com and bought their quick disconnect CB radio mount and a Terraflex mount for the antenna. My antenna now points vertically now and not canted.

I'd like to give this 4 1/2 stars as the radio bracket needed some tweaking to fit my 2007. I had to put a slight upward bend to allow the interior mirror full motion. The antenna bracket is sturdy and requires the powder coat to be removed from the mounting boss to get the best radio ground possible.I would also recommend adding a ground wire from the tailgate to the body to improve the ground plane.

Mount for the antenna holes are not where they should be. Antenna leans to the left side of truck. Very noticeable. Looks like you hit something and it bent.

Amazing what 2 simple pieces of steel can do. Fits my 2015 Wrangler perfectly. I have the hard top with the Freedom Panels and the radio bracket left room for the release toggle. No complaints RE wobbly radio - this is with an old Radio Shack TRC-417 - a mid-sized talkbox. The antenna bracket install was a snap. All-in-all very pleased with the purchase!

Came Fast and in Original Packaging. They look unused and like New!

I like the Ruged Ridge products, but I had to modify the antenna braket because the antenna was leaning to the right. You also have to remove some paint to get a good ground.
