The Platinum Collection

Having always liked Ella Fitzgerald but having few of her recordings, I went for this collection. It has been one of my best decisions where music is concerned! There are many tracks on here that I had never heard of but have only increased my respect for this lady. Great recording - you can hear the difference of recording quality over the years. I have one or other of the CDs on at least once a day and am hearing different things on the recording each time! Brilliant!

I’ve always heard Ella’s voice played around me since I was a youngster. My father was a great fan. Iris unique, mellow & warming. I’m loving this album & for me it hasn’t got a lot missing. The production quality is excellent with none of the dodgy ‘live’ recordings that I’m always wary of. Some great duet work with Satchmo too.

My daughter loves it. She plays it in the shop she has just opened for background music, it makes a lovely addition to welcome customers as they browse. She has received so many compliments.

Best music I have heard in a long time.

My granddaughter recently discovered Ella Fitzgerald and so I bought this for her birthday. There are so many wonderful songs here, and she loves the box set!
