Well, its useful and works

I do so much soldering for work that i go through alot of tips due to heat changes and product time and when i dip my solder iron into this tinner it comes out great and clean and saves the nickel plating on my tips so much! makes my tips last 2-3 times longer then they normally would and still take solder like i just put them on! this little container has been going months now and still good to go with me soldering every day, i have about 1/3 of it left and when its used up ill just order another because its a good price for a quality tip tinner!

This stuff works well enough, I continue to use it and will likely re-order the same. I have only ever used one better, that I believe has been discontinued since I cannot find anymore. The ‘better’ part was that it seemed to leave ever so slightly more metal dissolved onto the tip, and the flux left burning on the iron above the cleaned area did not turn as dark/burnt. In my experience that kind of flux baking can long term degrade the tip. But using any sort of ‘active’ tip cleaner like this will be miles better than only a wet sponge. It also makes solder stick to the tip like the day the iron was new, obviously a big point of this product. If you are looking for this type of thing, I’d recommend giving this one a try.

I bought this cuz it was on sale at least Amazon gave me a discount I had some old stuff and I got it Radio Shack 100 years ago This stuff is pretty darn good and holds up just as well as the old Radio Shack stuff. Probably even better. Product is exactly as it said it was The lid was easy to get off so you're not sitting there struggling while you're trying to do a project I appreciate that
