These work great, 2 months with no issues.
The media could not be loaded. I waited a while to post a review to make sure that these worked longer than a week. These bulbs are well built and look like a real flame. I have these installed on each side of my garage outside in fixtures that do not have frosted glass. My fixtures screw in at the top and the flame effect works as described, meaning that the “flames” come from the bottom with no issues. You don’t have to program them, they just work. I don’t know why so many people posted negative reviews, these look great. When people say that they look like pixels, they do when you are about a foot away. From a distance they look like real flames. I wish I would have purchased them sooner. They have been installed for about 2 months with no issues, even running 24/7.

Better Than The Real Deal !!!
I bought a two pack of these to put in the coach lanterns on each side of my garage door that operate with their night time/ daylight sensor. They look incredibly awesome and most definitely look like the real deal. Also, at 4 watts, they are notably brighter than I'd thought they'd be. Without a doubt, I'm quite sure they are the very best in this type of lighting available anywhere. However, Amazon hasn't had any of the 2-packs (for $30) available since I bought them, but they do seem to have the one packs available (for $20). Having to buy additional ones in singles is not going to be very cost effective, but I'm sure I'll soon get more for my backyard just the same.I tried one in a lamp inside of my home but immediately had to remove it as it made my house look as though it was on fire from the outside. If the bulb had been dimmer, it might have looked okay and unusual in my awesome uplighted torchiere. It was worth a try at least. Sadly, lamp dimmers cannot be used with LED lights.I highly recommend these bulbs to everyone!!!

You'll just have to take my word for it, they look fantastic
I have these installed in carriage lights on each side of my garage. I would take a picture but it just won't do it justice. You'll just have to take my word for it, they look fantastic. The light looks like a "smooth" flame and there is randomization, it dances and flickers like a real flame. It looks like two real candles, from the street, and close up. I am not disappointed with these lights. One last thing, and probably the main reason that pushed me into spending the money on these bulbs, I like that the flame movement always heads toward the sky no matter the direction it's installed. Bravo!!!

Actually flame color and not orange or pink.
I ordered the 2 pack, both worked out of the box, there's a little rattle sound which I want to say is the sensor that tells the bulb if it is right side up or upside down so it knows which direction it needs to play the flame animation in. Just like the description says, the individual LED's are hard to see, the flame animation is pretty good (but not the best in my own opinion), the color is right on for a candle flame or fire. They are not the smallest LED bulb of this style, but they are quite compact and fit inside the jelly jar style glass cover of my patio light. The flame animation will switch depending on whether the bulb is screwed in from the bottom or the top, but the animation seems to look better when the socket is below the bulb. They do only have the one mode, the flickering flame, so no steady on or fade in/out which is fine with me because why would I want either of those other settings in a FLICKERING FLAME BULB anyway? They get a little bit warm, but not hot, and while there is a vent for heat, I am not sure how well it would work if the bulb was mounted with the socket on top, the vents would then be on the bottom of the bulb. I liked the efficiency of the packaging, they came in a compact box and were enshrouded in a sleeve of bubble wrap with a plastic cap protecting the part that screws into the socket.

Up good
Installed the lights in four locations with upright posts and am very pleased with the look these lights emit. Only disappointment is with posts that are not upright and could not get the lights to come on...where they do, very effective fire appearance.

Most realistic fire bulb I've seen
I spent a lot of time looking at Youtube videos and comparing reviews because I've seen some fire bulbs where you can see the individual LEDs so it's not realistic. I was very impressed that the "fire" looks very realistic and you cannot see the individual LEDs. I like how there is also just one setting, which is the fire setting. Others have setting where the bulb is just on and you have to flip on and off the switch to get the setting you want. For these, it's either off, or the fire in the bulb looks like it is flickering.

Update! : ) No longer available! Hmmm?
2/27/19 Already had 2 lites burn out and only used from mid June till fall! Company said they would replace and I figured O.K. just my luck got some bad ones! I waited for over 4 months and just contacted Amazon and they said to return bulbs for a refund! Thankfully I kept boxes (usually do for 1 year) for return. They just asked for the bulbs for proof for return. They sent a return label and I will be getting a credited for the full amount! Hopefully this will help if your bulbs aren't over the one year warranty! Good luck! They did look great tho! Will try another brand to replace! I still have 2 others that I hope don't burn out after warranty! ; )I had to make do with some plastic Kraft Mayo wide mouth jars (work best others need longer screws to hold in place) that fit the longer length of the bulbs. They fit just fine and look great because they have similar ridges as the Jelly style glass lenses did. I frosted the jars with Rust O Leum Frosting paint and they came out great. Lights look excellent at night and during the day the frosted look is nice. ; )
