Fall (A Seaside Novel) [Dyken, Rachel Van] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Fall (A Seaside Novel) Review: Jaymeson's story, finally! - What a book! That's how I feel after reading it. I started and I couldn't stop until I finished (that happens a lot when reading Rachel's books BTW). Now it's time to get to know Jaymeson! Jamie Hudson Jaymeson, British movie star, Hollywood bad boy, twice sexiest man alive and most of all a really endearing person who's been through a lot in his life. We get to know about Jaymeson in the 3rd book of the Seaside Series (Shatter), he is fun to be around, his friendship with Alec and Demetri is solid BUT he likes to sleep around. No drugs, no booze, just girls, however everyone (aka Hollywood producers) thinks that sleeping around = drugs and booze. Moving forward to Forever (4th book of the Seaside series) we get to know Priscilla (Alyssa's cousin) and the impression she had in Jaymeson's life. At the end of this book we have the introduction to Jaymeson's story, the way he tries to open up to Alec is heart breaking. And Fall tell us his story. I don't wan to give away a lot about the story, just the headlines: - Jaymeson moves to Seaside, Oregon to stop his manwhore fame; if he wants THE movie role of his life (so far), he has to slow down and behave. - Priscilla is by herself, due to holidays, and she starts dating Smith - Jaymeson starts a real frienship with Priscilla when they get to spend a lot of time together. - Jaymeson starts falling for Priscilla and Priscilla for Jaymeson. - Jaymeson asks Alec and Demetri for advice. - Angelica is back. - Jaymeson and Priscilla get to talk about their feelings. - Tragedy strikes. - Jaymeson mans up and gets real. - Everything is how it is supposed to be. Basically that's Fall in a few words and I have to say that I LOVE the book. Really, it has everything I'm looking in a book. I went from laughing to be mad and then crying and then just sighing. The way Jaymeson grows up in this book is impressive and finally we get to know why he is the he's been so far. His life hasn't been easy but he does what he likes and now he's fighting to get what he needs (yeah, need not want). Priscilla is really good for Jaymeson, her personality is defined and she's not changing for anyone. That being said, Jaymeson is really good for Priscilla, he is the one who starts showing her how to start living her life, take risk and most of all look for someone who respects her. This book wouldn't be complete without Alec, Nat, Demetri and Alyssa. Even though they are secondary characters in this book the way they get involve is amazing. Once I read the name Demetri I knew I was going to laugh. He is the sane one, the dad who is looking for Priscilla's best interests (I think he's afraid of what Alyssa might do to him if Priscilla gets hurt) and the voice of Jaymeson's heart. Alec is there to support and listen to whatever Jaymeson is going through. Their friendship is really tight and there's nothing that can break them. Finally we have an extended epilogue which I love and was a prefect closure to the story (so far). I really want to know what happens next with their lives. Does Demetri finally get married to Alyssa and have sex (lol, so funny how he keeps saying this)? How is Demetri going to react once he knows what Jaymeson and Priscilla plan to do? I just have to know. Love the Series, love the Book, love all the characters. One of the best reading of the YA gender. Review: I'm FALLing for Jamie and Pris!! - My rating: 4 of 5 stars I WANT SO MUCH MORE! Before reading this book make sure you read the first 3 and 1/2 books that come before it! You'll be too confused if you don't! Rachel VD wrote another amazing book to continue her Seaside Series. This book was different because there wasn't a whole lot of the usual gang: Alec, Dimitri, Nat, or Alyssa. This book was purely Jamie Hudson Jameyson and the girl he swears won't make him fall Priscilla S. Garcia, Alyssa's cousin. We start the book about a month after Nat and Alec's wedding, after the infamous kiss between Jamie and Pris. Pris is still upset with the rejection and Jamie can't get over how mesmerizing Pris is. One thing leads to another and they both start to grow a friendship. They both friend zoned each other.... FACEPALM! That was the first mistake. There are so many more crazy things that happen that ultimately get them to the point of the FALL. The humor in this book always gets me. Jamie is so witty, especially with Dimitri and Alec. It's absolutely one of my favorite parts of the book. The banter gets me ever time! Another great part is how the whole time Jamie label's himself as a slut, yet he's got the best of intentions when it comes to Pris. "The last time I actually voluntarily talked to a woman without intentions of getting her into bed: Kindergarten" -Jamie Overall, I think this is a fantastic read! I'm giving this book 4 STARS out of 5 STARS just because I felt I would have liked a little bit more... I'm greedy like that! There's supposed to be a continuation for Pris's sister Dani, which I'm excited about because I'm wondering who her love interest will be. I also can't wait to read more about the rest of the gang!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Read by Taryn Lee on February 2, 2013 Reviewed by Taryn Lee on February 3, 2013

Sorry Alec, I've moved on to Jaymeson <3
***A Gifted Copy Was Provided By The Author For An Honest Review*** I've been a fan of the Seaside Series since I first read "Tear" and fell in love with Alec and Demetri. As the series went on I was introduced to Jaymeson, the witty British bad boy who never met a woman he couldn't seduce with his ridiculously good looks and charm. I'm a sucker for a sarcastic boy, especially one with an accent, so when I heard that Rachel was giving Jaymeson his own book I was dying to read it. Fortunately I was able to get my Jaymeson fix a couple weeks before the release date, and I can assure you that the book exceeded my lofty expectations. Jaymeson was introduced to Priscilla, Alyssa's cousin and one of Nat's bridesmaids, in "Forever." The virginal 18 year old Pastor's daughter was unlike any of the women he'd ever dealt with before. With enough sass to keep him on his toes, coupled with her refreshing innocence, Jaymeson couldn't help but be drawn to Priscilla. Things ended badly at the end of the novella when Priscilla finally let her guard down and Jaymeson panicked realizing he'd ultimately let her down when he couldn't be what she needed. "Fall" picks up several months later with Jaymeson's manager sending him back to Seaside to get his act together after some scandalous photos of him surface and threaten to jeopardize his career. Jaymeson, who hasn't been able to shake his thoughts of Priscilla, wants to be anywhere but Seaside where he'll be constantly reminded of the one girl he wants but can't have. Through a series of unfortunate circumstances, Jaymeson and Priscilla end up spending a lot of time together. The more time the spend together the harder it becomes to fight their mutual attraction for one another. As the war between head and heart wages, they must both decide whether to give in or let go. Rachel did a really great job of weaving Jaymeson's past into the story. Like Alec and Demetri, Jaymeson has faced a lot more difficulties in his life than you would anticipate. It helped to understand what all Jaymeson went through in his childhood that ended up shaping the way he viewed his relationships. I can't recommend this book enough. It was the perfect mixture of light and heavy. I was so in love with the banter between Jaymeson and Alyssa. Their playfulness really balanced out some of the more serious points in the book. "Fall" was funny, sweet, heartbreaking, addictive, refreshing, and every other wonderful thing you look for in a good book. I promise you'll "Fall" in love with it too! (Sorry, I couldn't help it. I had to make that pun!)

BEST OF THE SERIES!!!!!!!!
Rachel has once again risen to the occasion and made this book even better then the last... When we left off in the Forever novella Jaymeson has made some HUGE mistakes with yet another girl, but this girl was so different... I wanted to smack him upside the head and tell him to wise up cause he was making the biggest mistake of his life letting her go. But his demons run deep, so deep that most people don't have any clue, because he's shut himself off from the world. He doesn't get personal and even his best friends Demetri and Alec don't have any idea what he has gone through in his life. Pris is MY FAVORITE! She is the absolute best heroine in this series... She's a daddy's girl and she's a virgin, but you know what none of that will even remotely bother you it's not like she's a total prude. Yes she is the ministers daughter but she isn't closed off from the world. She's so giving and loving and she really longs to find someone to share her life with. Pris goes through some emotional rollers coasters in this book, I'm getting teary just thinking about it. I wasn't prepared for the twist in this one, and when you don't see it coming it hits like a freight train. I sat reading with tears streaming down my face. This book will run you through some serious emotions. Are there funny times... Oh it wouldn't be a Rachel Van Dyken book without them. I've often told her I believe she was a stand up comedian in her past life. She seriously knows how to make you laugh and cry all at the same time. But this book has a serious side just like the other books in this series and all kidding aside the theme runs very deep... I can't give you any details but I will tell you that Jaymeson will melt your heart and you will fall in love with them both. What I love is that even though this book is about Jaymeson and Pris, we still see Nat and Alec as well as Demetri and Alyssa. Demetri will make you laugh hysterically in this book. He's grown up so much I almost don't even recognize him lol! Just trust me on this one!!! I couldn't give this any less then 5 stars I truly feel like this is the best in this series and can't wait to see where the Seaside gang heads next!

I definitely fell for Jaymeson!
Jaymeson's book!!! I've slowly been falling in love with his character throughout the series, and was so happy to dive into his story. Fall is a beautiful book about Jaymeson, the A-List movie star who's sent back to Seaside, OR to work on fixing his reputation. When we last saw Jaymeson in Forever he had messed up pretty big with Priscilla, so he wasn't looking forward to going back to "hell" as he calls it. Priscella can't get the kiss her and Jaymeson shared out of her head, but also she's still not happy with him for how he treated her, but there is something about him that she can't let go of. When Jaymeson shows back up in town and wants to be friends with Priscilla, she's not thrilled about the opportunity, but says yes. These two share a definitely interesting friendship, and you can tell how much they both want more, but Jaymeson being a guy and not knowing how to handle relationships tries to keep her in the "Friend Zone" all while wanting to get out of the "Friend Zone" This man confuses me, and he sure as hell confused Priscilla during this book. He was hot and cold with her at times, and extremely jealous, which I thought hilarious. I laughed when he called the guys for help, and their reaction to him. Demetri and Alec are awesome at easing up the tension, and pissing off Jaymeson which made me laugh all over again. I am absolutely in love with all of these characters, but when the boys get together I know I'm in for laughs. Jaymeson and Priscella finally figure things out, with the help of someone who you wouldn't expect to want to help Jaymeson. Trust me, I was shocked, but still leery of this person. I loved watching these two together, Jaymeson and Priscilla are amazing together, especially when tragedy strikes. The ending of this book came too fast for me, and I wasn't ready to say goodbye to these characters yet, but am hoping we get more of them in future installments of this series as well as Dani's book that releases this summer. Fall was amazing and I definitely fell in love with this book. Once I picked it up, I was unable to put it down. This series is wonderful, all of the characters from previous installments show up in Fall, so we get to see how they are all doing as well. I highly recommend this series, and if you've already ready the first three and a half books, you need to read Fall and fall in love with Jaymeson!

ADJ? Loving it!
If you look up British in the dictionary…A-list celebrity Jamie Jaymeson’s name would be next to it. Along with charming, witty, man-whore, and a lot of other adjectives that he wouldn’t appreciate being attached to his name. He has everything in the world going for him. Until fate decides his number’s finally up. Caught in a compromising position that really wasn’t his fault to begin with (really it wasn’t)—Jaymeson’s been told by his agent to lay low in the one town he swore he’d never return to—the seventh circle of hell, known by its residents as Seaside, Oregon. Two months? He can do anything for two months. Especially if it means getting a part in the new book-to-movie series that has girls all over the world swooning. Play nice? Keep it in his pants? Please. He played an alien once—he was going to totally rock it. Until a certain someone who he may or may not have publicly humiliated—rejected, then humiliated again, suddenly pops up next door. Self control has a way of flying out the window when the one girl you can’t have—is suddenly dangled right in front of you. But Priscilla isn’t just off limits—she’s a pastor's daughter and barely legal to boot. So Jaymeson does the one thing he swore he’d never do—he tries to be friends. With a woman. Only, it’s exactly what he needs. Until suddenly, he craves more. He wants to date her. She wants to date someone else. He wants to kiss her. She asks him to give her lessons for her new boyfriend. When opposites attract, sometimes the only option you have is to leap—and trust the fact that when you fall—that special someone falls too. Ok so now it's ADJ! This series just keeps getting better and better.I highly recommend that you read this series.

Rockstars fall hard, but I fall harder while I was reading
Jamie Jaymeson "When your heart breaks - when you lose something you want to win - it changes your world. " If you look up British in the dictionary…A-list celebrity Jamie Jaymeson’s name would be next to it... Jaymeson’s been told by his agent to lay low in the one town he swore he’d never return to—the seventh circle of hell, known by its residents as Seaside, Oregon. Two months? He can do anything for two months. Yeah I guess it's enough time for Jay to fall hard....:)) WARNING*** It may cointans spoiler!**** So back to Oregon, he meet Priscilla again... Because of a fire she is staying at Demetri's, that means they are neighbours. Jay has a bad reputation, to get a really emotional movie role, he has to slow down a bit and he's going to work with Pris, who is a daughter of a pastor. Pris is alone because they parents go to a road trip, and after the fire incident they forced to meet a lot. But Priscilla isn’t just off limits—she’s a pastor's daughter and barely legal to boot. So Jaymeson does the one thing he swore he’d never do—he tries to be friends. With a woman. He really does everything to be near hear, and every minute bring them closer and closer. Until suddenly, he craves more. He wants to date her. She wants to date someone else. He wants to kiss her... To be honest I wasn't a big fan of Jay, I always loved his humour, but not his life style... But in this book, which is totally about him, you know him understand his motives, thoughts... I LOVE HIM NOW :)) The story is awesome as always, Rachel is unbelievable! I love every minute of the book, can't-put-it-down. There is a bit of AD2 of course, and an unpredictable twist at the end or maybe two, which finally push them together inseparably. "Because everyone knows, when it comes to love, it's not the fall that hurts....it's the landing. "

Sweet story with same premise. **Some spoilers**
I was sort of anxiously awaiting this story as I liked most of the other Seaside stories. And I liked this one too, but basically the premise and plot were the same as all the "new adult" genres keep recycling. Sexy, promiscuous male, finds love with someone associated with their "group" of friends, changes his ways and redeems himself with girl, and they get a HEA. It is a very romantic story and Jamyeson's inner dialog and statements were awe-worthy. Pris's character could have been any of the other girls in the series as she was very similar in her thoughts and actions, I thought. While it was a good addition and a way to add into the series without veering too far off, I just found it redundant at points because there are a lot of similar books of this plot out there. Don't get me wrong I would rather read one of Rachel's books than some others because she does have a good writing style, and humor is always there, which I really enjoy. I would ask everyone to make their own opinion on the book if you like Rachel, as it was good, just so similar in premise to a lot of books that I have read lately that it isn't worthy of a higher rating to me.
