Direct replacement for Ingersol-Rand compressor SS5-E
I needed a replacement for my IR SS5-E compressor. The model number of the Emerson motor it came with is IR#54421193 and seemed to be a direct replacement. Everything went on smoothly. Be sure to have a pulley puller to get the old drive pulley off.

The only reason I put one star is because i have to, Or else there wouldn't be any stars. I recieved this particular motor, and it was bad before I even put it in. I installed this motor and It is junk. Im very dissatisfied.

Motor works fine upon installation. Small differences between old and new motor were easy to overcome with a little electrical modification from spade connector to butt connector. Pretty simple.
