Doesn't work
I have had this in use for like 4 days in a kitchen swarming with fruit flies and it has not caught a single one. The fan is so weak that I literally watched a fruit fly land in the suction area and sit there comfortably with the suction not even bothering it. Just out of curiosity I stuck my finger out at the fruit fly and it simply flew away, completely unhindered at all by the suction. I have had infinitely more success with clear fly paper sitting on a surface in the kitchen that they passively land on at random. Not only does it work better its substantially less expensive. What a complete waste of money this was. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

This thing absolutely works 100%. Awesome! ππ
I bought this being skeptical but it's absolutely amazing how much the bugs just fly right to it! I had a ton of wetland in my house due to a crime that was committed against my family and I'm telling you it absolutely works 100%, I've had this thing catch flies silverfish mosquitoes everything I give it my 100% five-star rating it is the most awesome product for bugs I have ever seen in my life and I've used plenty! The unit itself is almost silent it's I catching it looks good anywhere I've got it right near the kitchen and I need to tell you it works great! Here's a tip if you have an infestation like we did use hefty cups the plastic ones and fill it with water and dish soap within about 10 ft of it and they come flying into it like crazy on top of catching them in the cup so you will also get them even closer to the device! It is awesome thank you so much for this wonderful product π

Doesn't work
The instructions say to leave each sticky trap for a week for best results. After 2 or 3 weeks we had one little fly. The suction that is meant to draw them in is more of a cool breeze. I'm thinking that single fly just flew in itself and then landed in the trap of its own accord. I watched one fly fly in and fly right back out.Mind you we had at least a dozen flies that we couldn't get rid of after a party we had (all the doors to the house constantly open). We kept this out all day and night turned on.It does come with a good number of sticky pads. The quality is something you'd find at an outdoor junk market. The light itself is decently bright but I never saw any bugs flock to it.Overall, I would not recommend and regret not getting a refund, as I qanted to give it apt time to do it's job.

Effective quality product
Purchased this for my tarantula room after a lite gnat infestation inside our enclosures. Quarantined the room to darknes (to speed up the process) for about a week and only left the bug catcher ON. Within a couple of hours it was attracting and trapping gnats. Good quality product, easy to setup, does not feel cheap, fairly quiet, inexpensive and comes with plenty of replacement (sticky) pads. Will purchase a second maybe a third unit to set up down/upstairs.

Works.....mostly.....
I developed a gnat or small fruit fly problem in my kitchen mid-summer in NC. I never could properly identify these things. I tried lots of remedies. I started poking around on Amazon and found this option. I figured it was cheap enough, even if it did not work, what could I lose? It actually works pretty well. The holes in the lower screening will allow some very small gnats to get back out, but overall, it pulls them in and they stick to the replaceable 'sticky pads' in the bottom. They really do most of the work at night. Turn off as many lights in the area you want to use it in, and allow the small blue light to attract the critters at night. I would actually buy this again. While it did not completely resolve my issue, it was a big help. Not sure how long it will last, but I've had it several weeks and have yet to power it off....except once to replace a sticky trap.

okay
I ordered two of the bug catchers because gnats have been awful. This one did not perform as well as the other that looks similar to a Dyson fan where you can put your hand through the hoop. It caught some gnats, but the yellow insect sticky traps caught way more bugs than this. The picture is after more than a month. If I was not outside of the return window, then I would be returning.

Waste of time and money.
After reading all the reviews, I felt this was the one for me. After using it, I did not care for this item at all. I had it plugged in to a kitchen outlet next to he problem area for three days. Not one single fruit fly, fly, gnat or anything was captured. The suction on the top is not strong enough to pull anything into the machine. It makes for an expensive night light. Truly disappointed.

Pretty decent
Works Surprisingly well. it mostly catches moths, small waspy things, and fungus gnats. I have caught a few mosquitoes we don't have a lot of mosquitoes here so that's a pretty good ratio of catching. It's nice that it does not make any loud noises so it doesn't scare my dogs. It does seem to work better when placed on the floor I can't explain it but if I put it on the floor there's a lot more insects in the catcher the next day then if I have it up on a table or a desk. My family loves this thing It came just in time for my aunt to complain that a mosquito was biting her 80-year-old sister I dropped it off at their house and she wasn't bitten again and there were two mosquitoes in the trap so they were super happy with it. Took off one star because The sticky pads could be a bit stickier usually a bug or to escapes when I open it up to check the trap because they didn't get stuck to the pad so make sure you open it up outside.
