Wanted to love it, but..
I really wanted to love this notebook. The pages are great, and the notebook overall is pretty sturdy. It is also great at not smearing pen markings. The biggest disappointment is the cover. I’ve only used this for a few weeks, and it’s already starting to rip off of the front. I REALLY wish the cover was plastic instead of paper board. I may have to replace it because of that.

Worth every penny!
Worth every penny. The paper is heavier than your standard Office Depot notebook and the spiral binding stays in place. I tear out individual pages, fold them in quarters and carry them in my purse to log my business as I run around all day. I input all my notes into a spreadsheet at the end of the day. I've tried all kinds of notebooks and legal pads and most don't hold up or they don't tear out of the pad easily, and this is the only kind that holds up and tears out of the notebook seamlessly each time. I also use the notebooks for classes and notes and they hold up really well.

Quality control issue
I bought a set of these to use as "Morning Pages" journals (those familiar with Julia Cameron's "The Artist's Way" will know what I am talking about). I wrote every morning with a fountain pen (fine tip) that I have used for years with satisfaction on another company's "project planner" (no longer in business). The first notebook the paper seemed overly smooth. The second notebook was not as polished -- the ink bled through each individual page, leaving marks on the reverse side. Of the six notebooks I ordered, three of these suffer from this defect.I am leery about ordering additional planners from this company. Just my own personal opinion, based on my choice of writing instrument and the consistency of the feel of the paper.

Neato Note Pad
There is nothing really "wrong" with this product. The only thing that bugs me is the numbering on the left margin is very light in color and hard for me personally to see. Other than that the notebook is great quality and the pages are not thin and flimsy. The numbers continue on the backs of the page and go up to #56 which was a nice surprise.

An Author's Choice
The perfect writing pad for the serious writer. I like these because of the top spiral and the double-sided capability (when I finish filling up the front side of all pages, I can flip it over and start writing again from the back). As a novelist, there's nothing I hate more than running out of good pens and writing pads. Even after the book is published, I need to retain some notes for future books and these make it easy.

The pad was fine, I'm on a mission to find a top tear pad I once had where the paper was nice and thick, heavy duty. I haven't found it uet but this is a very nice, smooth writing paper.

My pad was damaged in shipment but my money was refunded. Regardless, this is a TOPS notebook so the quality is there. Thick paper. Fountain pen ink doesn't bleed through. TOPS is the only brand of writing pads I'll use without complaints.
