Seems like a well-built machete, but I'm no knife expert
I got this to cut the blackberry vines back at my new house. The blade isn't very sharp, but maybe that is standard for new knives, and they expect you to sharpen at your own risk? In any case, I tried cutting my vines and it didn't work. It kind of just made them whip around and nearly whip you in the eye. But recently I had to dig out an old tote that I found on the property, which was covered in 2-inch thick poison ivy vines, and this cut through all that pretty well! I wish I knew more about knives and I could probably make better use of this thing. It's not that long, BTW. I always remember machetes being much longer.

Great machete
The machete arrived on time. Sharp and balanced. Very light.

It seems OK.
Purchased this after two reviews of "budget" [read: less than $50] available products over the span of a year... Upon arrival, found the product box within the Amazon-packaged box to be dented and smashed as a result of the usual poor Amazon packaging. I thought that would be all, but upon unpackaging, found one of the rivets had been "popped" (see pic) at the bottom of the sheath where the product box was damaged. Clearly it popped off as a result of the packaging, but having said that - it SHOULD be WAY tougher than that... Likely a little Gorilla Glue will fix it permanently. On the plus side, the blade seems nice, heavy and strong (admittedly without any use so far). The saw blade teeth are more like my Ibuku tree saw (tri-teeth blade) rather than the retail-store tree saws, and the cutting side has an outstanding edge on it. No need of sharpening. An old French carpenter used to say to me: "a tool needs a good handle", then bought me my first Estwing hammer... That applies here today: the handle is an obvious compromise among "one size fits all" and cost. I have an admittedly big hand, but the WIDTH of the handle is way too small. As a result, it affects balance negatively when swung and will likely effect how much time you can swing this thing. Gloves will be a must.Once I have actually cut anything with this, I will post an update, but it will be a while. This is a "just in case" tool for me, and it "seems OK" for that purpose... Thanks for reading.

Great brush blade
I do a lot of brush clearing and enjoying using brush blades. Over the years I've purchased several good ones but I do believe this'n beats them all. Perfect length, stainless, thin but tough, and comes very sharp. I'd buy it again for sure.

Nice and sharp
I haven't used it yet but it's sharp and has a nice feel. I bought it to throw in the back of my jeep. Sometimes I need to cut some brush, and this will work nicely.

Strong and sharp
I like the way it handles and the weight and durability is very good. It was really sharp on arrival and the saw backside works really well on branches.

Great for the price.
Perfect for chopping vines on trees, weeds etc. not sure about the sheath though… They need to improve that for at least a belt on your hip. Other than that, great product.

Not the quality I expected
I have serious doubts about it being made of quality steel. It is not a totally bad product, but it does not deserve five stars! The product is not very sharp as it arrives; it may have been produced this way for security purposes. It provided a better cut when I sharpened it before use. However, it is lighter than I expected, and it requires much force when using it, which poses the risk of not being able to control it and hurting myself.
