I've always wanted to use mid-tone paper so I was excited to find this on Amazon.I use black fine liners, Faber castell pitt pens (brush tip and coloured India ink), coloursoft pencils and copic markers (be careful and use a light hand with alcohol markers, the paper takes it well but the ink can bleed through to the next page). They all look fantastic on this. For obvious reasons, translucent inks will not be as neon bright as they are on white paper, but the muted hues you can create are interesting and very beautiful.Opaque white ink looks incredible on this as a highlight or outline, it's possibly my favourite feature as it really brings your work to life.It was very quick and easy to acquire this product so I'll certainly be ordering from here again once I've filled my first sketchbook.

I'm not usually one to complain about a scratch on the cover but this... sucks. The front cover is dirty, gross, bent and scratched all over, the back is not any better and there are weird oil (?) stains/ marks all over it too? Was upsetting to find that some of the inside pages are also scratched up or stained which is a shame. The book itself smells like old oil paints and disappointment. Considering the price this is pretty pathetic of the seller to have sent out. Instead of a shining brand new sketchbook, I got something that belongs on the '£5 or less' clearance shelf in Tkmaxx. Nothing against Strathmore - their paper is great quality and I've been using it for years, maybe just buy from another source where products are controlled for quality and aesthetics are taken seriously.

The paper is thick enough and able to flat after painting, but the after few layers of watercolor, there are bits kept being wiped off from the cotton. I’m new to watercolor, not sure if there is a way to avoid it.

I've ordered this previously with no issues, beautiful sketchbook - my favourite brand. When I ordered it this time I received a leopard print filo-fax!
