So far, so good. I bought this for use in strapping two beds together. I actually have a couple of bedrooms I am doing this with. One room has two twin beds that I have used in the past as a king size bed. I separated them for awhile, and recently wanted to put them back as a king sized bed. Really all it takes is a king foam mattress pad and a mattress protector (or extra sheet) to hold it in place. Then I process with a regular sheet and such on top. Mine is on two separate frames. So two frames, 2 box springs, and 2 mattresses.While I dont "need" the strap for making a king sized bed, I decided to give it a try. The reason why is because I am also putting together a HUGE bed by using 2 full sized mattresses and 2 frames. This bed is for my hubs and I, as well as our two large dogs. We need the room.I decided that I would use the strap to hold those two beds together and use the material down the center to help bridge the gap. Unlike the "king" there is no other way to finagle it. Not like they make mattress pads and sheets to accommodate 2 full sized mattresses side by side! SO I use this strap and center pad to help make and keep together 2 full sized beds. I will have to unclip it when it comes time to change the sheets, but it is so easy that I think this will be just fine. At the same time, I bought  another strap  just in case this one didn't work out, or if I preferred it for the King bed. Ultimately I used the strap that came in this set on the King sized bed (because I can easily change sheets without ever having to undo the strap), and the other strap (just a clip style, not ratchet) that I linked to (along with the center fabric from this) on the dual full sized mattress set up. I like the clip on the other one, whereas this is a ratchet style. Pretty much same otherwise.The center material works really well. Again, if I was buying this just for the king, I would put it in place just because I had it, but I still prefer tossing a king sized mattress pad to eliminate the feel of gap. Does what it should when the straps stay in place but it moves over time and it’s not pleasant waking up to it smacking you in the face

Not only is it a hassle to put on, but changing the bed sheets renders this thing useless. Comes apart in no time.

We put this in the middle of our kids two twin xl mattresses and made a nice large king bed for our guests
