Hi! You can place them on the underside of the upper part of the shoe if you're having trouble keeping them stuck in place! We find that works for a lot of folks and are including that on our packaging for production starting May 2019.

Q: What if the shoe stinks already? Will the shoe stop stinking with this product?

No...I had to wash my son's shoes first...however I didn't think they worked well with odors even after that. I have found that a sprinkle of medicated foot powder like gold bond in the shoe works great for eliminating and controlling odors!!
