Not for the faint of heart!! This is for string trimmers on steroids. Whatever is in the way of the rotating steel cable of death will be cut, even if its your leg. But it will cut down nasty tough weeds like they deserve. Not only cut them down but can turn them into mulch if your so inclined. If your tired of replacing the line this works well. I have a brick house and plastic line just keeps failing as I trim around the house and the line rubs against the brick.

This string is strong! It does wear out like a plastic string, but the wear is even and consistent. the advantage is that it will not snap off! Its perfect for edging. A word of caution, this is a metal strand string coated in plastic, it will cause sparks and metal shavings to go flying, eye protection is a must! I wear a full face shield and can just hear the metal shards pinging off from it. And do not even think of wearing shorts or sandals while using this string. I wear heavy denim jeans and closed shoes.

I never found a weed whacker that would reliably feed string. Frustrating because nylon string breaks often. I bought another weed whacker that had nylon coated steel like this one but missed that it only had a six inch cutting diameter. I found this product and put it in my 12 inch weed whacker. It works perfectly!

Ok.. ya got me! This is not trimmer line. Lol. This is a rubber coated wire cable that is used for other stuff, but somebody decided to sell it as "trimmer line". Nice try! Sounds like another hillbilly rig if you ask me. It works... kind of, but don't waste your time. Go buy normal nylon trimmer line like you should have in the first place.
