Packaging: It comes in a pretty tight box disassembled. Each of the pieces is individually wrapped. It was easy to get the box open and everything out and separated without really worrying about damaging anything.Assembly: Was not a problem to assemble. It does require some screws for the base (included) and to twist the umbrella top piece onto the middle tier piece that slips into the base. I recommend assembling the umbrella section first before putting it in to the base as it will be easier to leverage the pole into the base hole rather than trying to screw an entire umbrella ontop, its too unwieldy at that point. If you're not that strong you can use 2 people and it should be no problem. Note: The base is heavy-ish (its made of metal and has a heavy umbrella pushing down on the center) but it comes with bags you're supposed to fill with sand or beans or rocks or whatever and use to weigh down the base. Depending on placement and weather you may need to do this before safely using so keep that in mind.Usage: It has a hand crank that will open the umbrellas, and the interesting thing about this is that it basically has 3 "top points" that open in a line. This means if you have a rectangular patio this can cover the entire length. It is also still quite big so even a square patio will get very good coverage. We have a small patio with a built in wooden bench and this thing covers the entire thing. It is very easy to close and open.Honestly? I like it a lot!

I got this mainly to replace a 10ft circular umbrella I had going through the middle of my table. No matter what, someone was always getting blasted with the sun with my circular one.One thing I will say: make sure you go out and measure your deck. This is a very large umbrella and covers half of my 16x16 deck, which is great for me. However, if you're putting this on a smaller deck, keep this in mind.In terms of securing it, the included bags will definitely keep it in place on a day with a light breeze. However, when fully opened, this umbrella acts like a giant sail, so if you get some wind or forget to take it down, I don't think the bags alone will hold it securely.It would have been nice to have anchor points for those who want to bolt it to their deck or slab. I ended up drilling holes into the base to run four lag bolts into my deck to ensure it never moves, but it would have been nice if there were already holes to secure it down. Don't get me wrong, if you fill both bags to their full weight, that's 120 lbs keeping the base fairly secure. However, hauling 120 lbs of bags is a lot more work than just running in some lag bolts.Overall, you would be hard-pressed to find an umbrella of this size for this price. My 10ft round one was twice as expensive as this, and outside of being waterproof, there isn't a whole lot of difference. This is a good deal.

Our rectangular table seats ten, and the Sunbrella umbrella that came with it is round, so the people at the ends were always in the sun at some point. This would definitely cover them. Unfortunately, the center pole was too thick for the hole in the table. SO, my husband removed the plastic collar in the hole to make more room (a huge job, amazingly). Then, the understructure of the table did not allow enough room (height-wise) for the base that came with the set. I' am looking into other base options so that I can actually use this beautiful umbrella. In the meantime, I set it up on a small round table, just to see the quality, and it was great. I just hope that I can get it to work!!

Great triple Umbrella! We are using our own stand as we already had one we liked. The sandbag holders are nice and come with a cover that goes over the top as well. Easy up, easy down! Very stable in the wind when closed. Provides A LOT of shade! You won't regret this purchase.

It covers most of our deck and fully covers our table with 6 chairs. Love it! Easy to set up. The base is big, but so is the umbrella. It fits under our trex table. The family loves it! No more fighting about who sits in the sun!
