I bought the AMVR VR Gun Stock Attachment for my 10‑year‑old, and it has quickly become his favorite accessory for the Quest 3. He absolutely loves how much more realistic his FPS games feel now. The weighted pistol grip gives him the sensation of holding a real blaster, and the anti‑slip handle cover means I don’t have to worry about him dropping the controllers during long play sessions. I bought these to play Pistol Whip, hoping my accuracy would improve. I was very annoyed at first because the barrel does not align with the virtual gun. I discovered this can be adjusted from within Pistol Whip, but there is no easy way to do the adjustment. I had to double tap my headset to activate passthrough, look through the sites on the plastic gun and then double tap back into Pistol Whip to see if the virtual gun was in alignment. Since Gun Club VR is also misaligned in the same way, it appears to me that these attachments were not manufactured to properly align with Quest 3's default settings. Having to calibrate proper alignment for every game I play is going to be annoying. The point is I can feel the weight and alignment of the barrel and it helps me aim properly which is important because I play Akimbo style and shoot from the hip. My scoring has improved and it feels a lot more real to play with these.

When holding the quest 3 controllers they do not at all feel like a pistol. Too rounded and while you're aiming in game that can throw things off, especially if you are used to firing actual pistols. Overall I have to say I am happy with the purchase of these accessories but there are some pros and cons I would like to go through because it seems to me that they could reduce the price and most of the product and still end up with the same result. Pros: - proper pistol grips. Feels like a pistol when in game, allowing better aim and more immersion. Cons: - barrel included with accessories. Barrel does nothing. Not weighty enough to add to the immersion, just sticks on the end of the controller but unsure why. - barrel has two pieces. they disconnect from each other. Neither piece seems to have any actual use so unsure why this added decoupling was necessary - grips don't work with various aftermarket battery covers, such as chargers. Overall these are the best way to get a real pistol feel in game. But all I need is the grip shell, 90% of what I purchased here I don't even attach to the controllers during gameplay as it adds no benefit whatsoever.

The AMVR Controller Gun Attachments are a must-have for anyone serious about VR shooters. Installation was super easy, just a quick snap-on process and I was ready to go in no time. They fit my controllers perfectly and feel really solid and well-balanced in my hands. What really sets them apart is the feel and added realism they bring to games like Pistol Whip. The shape and weight distribution make aiming and shooting feel so much more natural, and it adds just the right amount of tactile feedback to enhance the experience without being too heavy or bulky. This is one level deeper into VR immersion, and it's hard to go back once you've tried it. If you want to feel like you're actually holding a weapon in-game, this is absolutely worth it. AMVR nailed it again.

These were given to my son for Christmas. They worked well with his Oculus. He enjoys playing with these.

I will elaborate on why I am returning this. They basically bundled this with their AMVR controller grips yet I found no mention that they can NOT be used at the same time. I have no idea why they fail to mention that since I bought them together in hopes they could be used simultaneously. I should've paid more attention to the pics with the connection method, so not entirely AMVRs fault. The good is the controllers slide in very easily along with the barrel. I am not sure if I am crazy but it seemed to slightly improve my aim as well. The weight makes it feel a bit more realistic (not nearly accurate to gun weight but helps the feeling) The removal part is a bit more tedious but still not difficult. However, I know myself as a person and the sweaty hands while playing shooting games requiring the grip to hold the gun or sword games, etc. is a far bigger concern and I know darn well I will not remove the AMVR grips to put these gun accessories on every time I want to use them.
