Yes, the wood slats are thin, but it is a nice looking storage shed and serves the purpose of storing my garden supplies, pots and some tools. It was too short for some of my newer and taller garden tools like rakes and a full size shovel but the shelves are sturdy enough to hold gallon-size sprays, fertilizers and ceramic pots.Other reviews are correct about the instructions containing pictures only and no text. I really had to pause in a couple spots to figure out what the picture was really trying to tell me , but all-in-all it was fairly easy to assemble and lined up well.
