GE Genteq Replacement for Capacitor 30/5 uf 370 volt 97F9833, 370V, 30/5 MFD, Dual Run, Round Capacitor

Worked perfectly for my 1981 Carrier unit. The old capacitor I pulled was the original (45yrs)I will be replacing the motor next, as it's getting louder every year. Keep your R22 units goingas long as possible. I'm still pulling 51 degrees at my vents. Easy, cheap fix and of course thecapacitor went out at 100 degree temps we're receiving this week, but Amazon deliveredthe part in a day and on a holiday (July 4th)

Worked great was a perfect replacement for what I had… It’s pretty much plug-in play had the AC back up and running no matter minutes once I received it!

I had the original GE run cap in my old Carrier compressor unit. It finally went bad after about 10 years. With my capacitance meter it read nothing on both legs. It was bulged out and rusty on the top. Got this new one today and measured it for reference. It measured good on both legs (5 and 30). Installed it and the outdoor unit fired right up. Don't know how long this non OEM will last but so far so good. Seems to be a good deal.

Was sent a Capcom brand capacitor when they were supposed to send a GE Genteq brand according to the description and picture currently advertising this product as of 09/07/23. Perhaps that is the new name of the company making the capacitors from the same factories? I don't know. Uses the same-looking blue and white label and letter font. The capacitor model they sent was 27L877 which is also a 2" wide 30/5 uf 370 volt capacitor which makes it compatible with the original 97F9833 2" wide 30/5 uf 370 volt capacitor. The 27L877 is just shorter than the 97f9833 capacitor but functions just the same and is 100% compatible from my online research. This 27L877 fits in the capacitor-holding bracket that used to hold the 97f9833 capacitor just the same as they are both 2" diameter capacitors. This new capacitor is working just fine too. Hope this helps other do-it-yourselfers or techs.

Now time for a review.This last one was Long lasting. The OEM ran from 2002 to 2009. Replaced with current cap June 2009 to June 2026. Now replacing this one this afternoon i hope, depending on amazon. NOW We shall see if the lack of QA has reached into this company like everything else in this world.

Swapping it out was simple, even for someone who’s not an HVAC pro. From box to fully running unit, I had cool air humming again in under two hours. Top-of-the-line indeed, and my system is running smoother than a Sunday nap. Highly recommend!

Like for like part (I thought it would be right values, but a different shape... it wasn't), and it is CSA approved (I was nervous it might not be).A minute and a half to get my AC back up and running.The old one rusted out on top, and was covered in what felt like oil.

Got my AC working for a fraction of the cost of a service call!

Shorter than the original -- same specs. Works fine. 2 days to get to BC from USA

Fixed my AC unit for the price of the capacitor. Made me very happy!!!

Pas aussi longue que l'ancien, mais fonctionne très très bien et l'air climatisé fonctionne comme avant pour aussi peu que $23, quand un réparateur te dit qu'il faut changer une nouvelle unité pour $4000!!🙃
