You put it in the water of the tank every day for 7 days, then do a partial water change, then treat after the water change.

Should this be put in pond?

It can, although this is the aquarium version so the directions wouldn't be correct for pond use. There is a Pond version around simply called Pond Pimafix.

I want the pond version of this but search just brings up pond melafix, is there a pond version of the primafix?

There is but it's rarely stocked by anyone - we never sell the Pond version of either. It's very common that people buy this version and then look up a dosage calculation online.

How long does it take to work?
