Rugged, Secure, and Built to Last
This case is extremely well built and provides excellent protection for my gear during storage and travel. The latches are secure, the seal feels solid, and the interior keeps everything well protected. A high-quality case that's definitely worth the investment.

Great case for the price.
This is a awesome little case. True it may not be as sturdy as some other cases out there but in reality how many people need a hi end case for their guns? I know for me it suits my purpose perfectly. It allows me to take my guns to the range and back and fits under my bed. It has locks so it is California legal for transportation without a bunch of extra crap, fits in my car trunk perfectly and carries my two handguns 6 magazines, a shotgun with 50 rounds of 12 gauge, a reflex sight and a tactical flashlight. I have modified it with a custom foam I made and am loving it. So with the price of the case and the custom foam inserts I paid around only $95 in total. Beats the heck out of $200 plus for a pelican case alone.. Cons: Well I can't say too much bad about it despite the lid dose seam a wee bit floppy, as far as it being watertight... well I am not planning to go swimming with it, and haven't soaked it with a water hose .... l so I can't say how great it is on that aspect. Being a locksmith I was able to pick the locks on it in about 10 seconds.... so they are not that great for security, but it will keep the kids out as well as being safe to transport with the locks locked. "Side note" locks on a portable gun case can be better but for some reason even on high end cases their locking mechanism sucks... Unless you have a steel built safe that goes into your truck bed than don't expect anything fancy. This is actually a part all manufactures can work on. High and low end alike, their locks are about the same quality and can be made a lot better.

Solid Case for the Price
First off, I'm going to compliment Plano on making a case that I might even find it hard to break. I've banged it on all sorts of things, bounced it against all the other crap in the back of my SUV, and there isn't even a mark on it. And neither is there a mark on my gun! The pull-and-pluck foam allows you to easily get a good fit for your rifle, and it's sturdy enough to cushion some pretty sharp blows. I only have one complaint about it, and that's the fact that they don't provide any method of securing the foam in place once you've got it cut out. Even just some Velcro would be appreciated. I really only have two complaints with the case, and the first isn't really something that Plano could do anything about. Because of how thick the plastic is and how sturdy it is overall, it has some weight to it. Put a nearly ten pound rifle in, and you're not going to be wanting to lug it any appreciable distance. This is definitely something to use for storage or travel, not the kind of thing you'd want to lug into the woods or to the range. The other major complaint is with the integrated locks. There's two of them, built in to the outermost of the four latches. Just as with the rest of the case, they're nice and sturdy - you'd break the plastic before you got those latches open when they're locked. My main complaint is that the keys don't like to actually go into the lock. It takes a fair bit of fiddling and turning to get the key in - not a good thing when you need quick access. For that reason, I've taken to locking it with a padlock instead of the integrated ones. It's easier for me to undo it quickly that way, and the provided tabs for external locks are nearly as sturdy as the latches.

Good case for the Money.
Pros, The foam is easily removed to form to your rifle or shotgun your putting into this case. Plenty of room for extra mags to be added as well and bipod storage with the 42" case. Solid construction, seems that it will hold up well, and the locks or a great feature. Well made for the price point, good carry handle as well. Cons, Foam comes out with the firearm when removing Replacement foam is a hit and miss when looking for the pull-apart style foam Kind of bulky when carrying, barely fits into my trunk Wish there was more lock on all 4 latches In all, it's a great case for what you pay, good construction. The only issue finding replacement foam when needed to replace for a different rifle configuration. I would also recommend some kind of rubber spray coating over the foam after configuring it to your rifle, the foam without it will pull out with your rifle and at times separate more causing huge gaps around your rifle inside when placed back in. Update: I recently bought name replacement foam from Cobra foam and it is far better than the pull foam that comes with this case. I just now wish that I got the 52" case instead of the 42" case for the rifle that went into the 42" case would have more room for other asssories.

Great for the Price
The case is significantly cheaper than a Pelican case with very little difference in quality. I haven't had any serious issues with this case at all. I've been able to fit an AR and two Handguns and several magazines with ease. The pick and pluck foam is easy to use although unforgiving (Measure thrice, cut once). The exterior is fairly sturdy and impact resistant. The lock is very convenient and I was able to use this case for transporting a firearm in an airplane because it uses locks, but also has the pressure release valve on the case which is also a very nice feature. Mine did not come with wheels although I have heard some have, so this version is the one without wheels. I do wish that the hinges were better and more sturdy, they are cheaply made, and the seal around the case has been an issue for multiple customers. While I had no serious issues with the seal, I can see it is cheap and haphazardly put in place causing potential issues. Overall its a great case for the price. Would definitely recommend and purchase again.

Solid safe case for TSA travel. ******
Oct 2025 Second Case . Great case for air travel. Local gun stores never seem to carry this particular case. If it were not for Amazon, I don't know where I'd find it. 2023 1st Case: This the second attempt to get a case with keys. Success! This case is incredibly secure and TSA will have NO issues with it if you travel via air. If your rifle is 38.5" with a scope it should fit easily into this case. Always measure your rifle and take into account the inside dimensions of the case. The nice thing about this case is that it has two layers of foam. The top egg shell foam is glued to the top, which is not *the case with some gun cases. The bottom of the case has two layers of foam - one for the bottom and the upper is the foam that you cut to fit the rifle. This makes it easi-er to get a good tight fit and better protection for the rifle and scope. (* if you have a case with foam slipping around, use Gorilla tape and Gorilla glue to hold in place. Put books on top of foam for 4 hours. It will be permanently glued to the case sides.) This case has wonderful locks. The description says nothing about locks and keys. The hasp locks hold the case very tightly making it impossible to get even a screw driver between the two halves. Add two small TSA locks in the provided holes and you have four locks. I have two extra TSA locks that make getting into it near impossible. You can never be too secure for TSA. The keys can create a hassle if TSA wants to get in since you will have those in your pocket. If you have a rifle that is NOT semi-auto with a simple magazine, TSA will leave you alone completely in most situation if another lock goes through the magazine well of receiver. You can't be too safe with TSA. No loose ammo in the case. No liquids. Never assume that TSA will miss something. They are rewarded for catching problems. If you have doubts about something, CALL your airlines and TSA. Wonderful case and I'm thrilled that Amazon took back the first one that did not have keys. One last thing. This World Traveler always puts his cases in a duffel bag. I never advertise I am carrying a fire arm. Amazon carries some really nice duffel bags that will fit almost anything. A 50" duffel (also from Amazon) handles this case nicely. Remember to always declare your firearm at check in. Always, always. always.

Best bang for the buck
As an avid outdoors enthusiast and frequent traveler, I'm always on the lookout for high-quality gear that can withstand the elements and keep my valuable equipment safe and secure. That's why I recently purchased the Plano Unisex-Adult All-Weather 42 INCH AW CASE, and I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance and features. First and foremost, the Plano All-Weather case is built to last. Its heavy-duty construction and airtight seal make it completely waterproof, dustproof, and crushproof, which means that I can take it anywhere, from the beach to the mountains, without worrying about damage to my gear. The case also features a pressure relief valve, which ensures that it stays airtight even during changes in air pressure. The case's interior is also designed with protection in mind. The customizable foam padding allows me to create a perfect fit for my equipment, ensuring that everything stays in place during transport. This is especially important for fragile or sensitive items, such as cameras or electronics, which require extra care during travel. The Plano All-Weather case is also designed for convenience. Its comfortable carry handle and patented latches make it easy to open and close the case, even when wearing gloves or in cold weather. The case also features a padlock tab, which adds an extra layer of security for my equipment. Another standout feature of the Plano All-Weather case is its size. At 42 inches, it's large enough to accommodate a variety of gear, from rifles and shotguns to cameras and electronics. This makes it a versatile option for anyone who needs to transport valuable equipment, regardless of their hobbies or profession. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the Plano Unisex-Adult All-Weather 42 INCH AW CASE. Its combination of durability, protection, and convenience make it an exceptional choice for anyone looking for a high-quality case to protect their valuable equipment. I highly recommend this case to anyone who needs a reliable and rugged solution for transporting their gear.

Rifle hard case - Plano
Looks sturdy and it's not heavy. Very good craftsmanship. Foam inserts look good. Three layers - bottom flat, mid section with precut squares and top piece as egg box. Top one is glued to the lid. Handle fits nicely in the hand. Planed to be used as storage case for tents on my boat's top/roof. Can't confirm on stainless steel hinges and UV durability. I hope for best - if there will be some negative impressions I'll change my rating and edit review.

One of the best cases I've had the pleasure to own!
I originally bought only one for myself as a test product. After getting mine and placing my DPMS with accessories and a 1911 on top of that in the case....my wife wanted one for herself. So i ordered another the same day mine came in. I love the pressure valve on the case to prevent moisture or anything to damage the firearms. Wish it had wheels as the case got pretty heavy. But non the less...worth getting. Will be ordering 2 more in the next couple of months! *UPDATE* I highy recommend these cases for all your needs. Ive had mine for sometime now and my DPMS is still great, no to little moisture inside with the pressure control. Just ordered another case. (3 cases now). DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE PRESSURE LOCK! YOU WILL DESTROY THE O-RING INSIDE.

Heavy Duty Box - case rigide
--------- This product is very rigid and protects my rifle very well. The only drawback is that the box is a little heavy due to the thickness of the plastic and the addition of the rifle and the rifle scope. I like that the box has two key locks (provided). Otherwise a good buy overall.
