Compact, individual charge channels & status lights, works well, good value
Purchased this primarily for use in an RV where storage space is limited. Replaced another charger that was bulkier and had a wall wart transformer. A pair of these Panasonic chargers take up about as much space as one of the other chargers plus transformer.Charges relatively quickly when connected to a 2A or greater USB charger. Charging on an older 0.5A USB charger would likely take a lot longer.Individual charge channels are a plus. The charge status lights are adequate for conveying the charge state of the batteries. The power bank feature does work but I need to do additional testing. With 4 fully-charged Eneloop AA batteries (theoretically around 8,000 mah) I was only able to partially charge a cell phone with a 4,000 mah battery. Need to try this again when I can pay more attention to what's going on. Nice feature to have for emergency use.Like an AC-powered Panasonic AA/AAA charger I have, not wild about the way AAA batteries fit at an angle. Seems like they would be prone to falling out if the charger is vertical, but so far they seem to stay in place OK.When we aren't traveling I use it indoors for charging batteries from various devices. All in all, it performs very well . I am very pleased with this charger and purchased an additional one for the RV.

The BEST USB AA/AAA charger
- It's a smart fast charger, means it actually detects how much charge is in each battery. A lot of chargers that claim "auto stop", but it could just in fact rely on a timer. Would take the same time to charge a flat one and a full one, which overcharging is not good.- Just dead easy to use, with coloured light show you how much charge is in each battery.- Detects dying batteries- I've never tried this but it should works like a power bank, USB power output with AA batteriesI had been using it for almost two years, never failed me once. Charge fast, reasonably small, shows you charging progress with LED lights without overly complicated informations.Just beware that if there's less than 1A of USB power (too old cable, too old USB adapter, some USB on computers) it would resort to slow, fixed 13 hours of charging. It shows with flashing green LED lights when it is in this mode.

Close to perfection
It works flawlessly. If you already have a power brick or power bank on hand, this will reliably and safely charge the batteries. If only eneloop would make an upgraded USB-C variant. At that point, the only upgrade left would be to add the foldable prongs for standard outlets. Maybe some day

Perfect USB NiMH charger
Possibly the best USB charger you can buy for NiMH batteries.Individual charging system, you can charge any number of batteries in any position. The computer senses and adapts itself to charge each battery to the ideal charge level. Charging uses negative delta + temperature sensing for optimal charging.Small case, with sliding cover. Good loking design. Charge port is Micro-USB.The main advantage of this unit is the USB ouput that lets you charge some other USB device from this unit. There's a USB-A output port on this unit, and with fully charged AA batteries, press a button, and it activates the USB output port. You can plug in a regular USB cable into this charger, and then charge another USB device *from this charger*! Basically, you can use this charger as a powerbank! It's a very smart design!

Great compact charger NiMH and Li-ion batteries
Excellent compact plug-and-play charger. No need to worry about balance charging, overcharging, or other factors to prevent your batteries from burning your house down. You can charge any number of batteries (up to 4) in any order/configuration with no worries, and also auto-shutdowns when batteries are at optimal charge. I tested this charger with the Ikea Ladda AA and AAA NiMH batteries and they charge them perfectly. It's also extremely convenient to charge via micro-USB at my desk. The reverse battery-pack function is also pretty neat but not something that I utilize that much. The only downside would be being limited to charging 4 batteries at a time, but that was not an issue for me. All in all it's a great charger from a reputable company in the rechargeable battery space and I would implore others to not hesitate spending the extra money for this charger over others on the market.

fast charging
compared to other battery chargers i have had this one seems to be much faster. for example, it took over 6 hours to charge batteries with the energizer one I got at Target(batteries that came with it). this one only took 2-3 hours to charge the batteries it came with. i have not been able to test the batties them selves but I'm sure they will work just fine/ great.

Works as a power bank
I bought this to use as a "AAA" / "AA" power bank for my devices, and it works! It charges my Samsung S20+ using the AA/AAA batteries connected to it. As a college student in Florida (Really hot weather!), I have it in my small backpack. It's really small, compact, efficient, and light. When it arrived, I was surprised by how small it was, which is certainly a plus for portability. The main benefit to using this instead of a regular power bank is the fact that you can use ANY AA/AAA battery, and it's easy to swap drained batteries with new ones. Most importantly, the eneloop batteries are rated for 10 years, and are temperature-resistant, where they don't drain that much in hot weather. For increased efficiency, the charging speed is considerably slower than my wall charger. However, it can fully charge a dead phone within a day. Perfect for emergencies, such as hurricanes. My current setup consists of:Home storage: 20 AA batteries = 38000mAh (Each Eneloop AA battery is 1900mAh).Backpack: 4 AA batteries inside the charger = 7600mah.My phone's battery is 5000mah.I have 4 AA batteries inside of the charger, in addition to a Google USB-A (for the Panasonic charger) to USB-C (for my phone) cable + charging brick. In total, the capacity is 7600mah at a minimum. It can charge my phone 1.5 times.

Buen cargador/powerbank
Carga de manera muy rápidas las pilas, en menos de 4 horas ya están cargadas, lo que no me gusta es que sea tan "inteligente", no me deja cargar algunas pilas por que me indica que están fallando, pero otro cargador las carga sin problemas.

Works as advertised, quality product.
I bought this because all my devices are charged via USB these days, with my older Eneloop charger the only one I needed to bring to a wall outlet to get charged. There are three kinds of chargers. Timed, which charges for a set amount of time, and your batteries are either under or over-charged. I don't know why they even make these, to be honest. Voltage based ones, which cut off charging when a certain voltage has been achieved. This results in slight overcharging of the batteries (but better than the timed ones). And lastly, smart ones, which stops charging just before the battery is full which is best for the battery. This charger is the latter, a smart one.Charging was relatively fast and you can use any smartphone/tablet charger. However, it's best to make sure the adapter you're using can output at least 1A. If you use a 0.5A port (like USB 2.0 ports on laptops), the charger falls back to timed-based charging which isn't good for the batteries. You can use this as a powerbank to charge your devices like smartphones, but I wouldn't recommend it. Using four fully-charged Eneloops charged my tablet for only about 20+%. You're better off using a normal powerbank for this.It also comes with a useful function to tell you when your batteries need replacing.

An OKAY power bank, a bit too slow.
I mainly purchased this product as a power bank and experimented with it.Test Subjects:4x Regular non-rechargeable AA battery (1.5v)4x Eneloop rechargeable AA battery (1.2v)Test Devices:BQ-CC87 (This product)Aliexpress 4x AA to USB charger (search for 32722805387)----Baseline (Wall Charger): 5.1V 1.48ABQ-CC87:4x 1.5v batteries - 5V 0.91A4x 1.2v batteries - 5V 0.97AAliexpress:4x 1.5v batteries - 5.12V 1.48A4x 1.2v batteries - 4.94V 0.81A----ConclusionPro: This product has stable power output no matter what types of batteries you feed it, it will always be around 5V 0.9A but I have never seen a 5V 1A as advertised. A consistent 5V is also good for more sensitive devices.Con: If you are buying this product for emergency uses and want to power your device with non-rechargeable batteries, then this product will nerf the output of your batteries and make it less efficient. Some of the more modern devices might refuse to charge with this charger, please check out the photo attached.---Using this charger as day to day power bank:This charger is great for a power bank that slowly charges your device at 0.9A speed, but if you want to use your phone while charging, for example, listen to music and check out GPS while charging, 0.9A might not be fast enough for you, but it will slow down the battery drain.Using this charger as an emergency power:I will still suggest this charger over the Aliexpress adapter, even if it charges slower. The adapter will be a more efficient use of non-rechargeable batteries, but the fluctuation voltages might damage your device, something to be aware of. 1.5V rechargeable batteries do exist and can make the Aliexpress adapter work well, but they require a special charger. If you don't mind the slow charging speed, the Panasonic is better regarding fire safety and reliability. The Aliexpress adapter runs hotter than I am comfortable with.
