I originally purchased these to hold a 3mm two-pin single color LED, which worked out very well. I have since needed them to hold a three pin, bi-color 3mm LED, and they worked very well for that too. I had to cut and resolder the two outer pins and insulate them with shrink tubing. But, in the end I got what I needed done, done... Overall, I am happy with my purchase...

These had a nice polished finish unlike some of the similar ones that came up in the search. They are for the T1 size LED’s (I had the more common T1 3/4 ) so it pays to take note of the listed dimensions. They come with the lock washers and nuts. If I were to be critical, I would note that there is no mechanism for retaining the LED once installed. I suspect that you might put an appropriate size hex crimp on the housing to keep the LED from sliding out, or some sort of glue.

This was my first use of 3mm LEDs and panel mounts but, it won't be the last. I was concerned about their small size mounting into metal or thin plastic. These mounts worked perfectly in both. They mount solidly and secure the LED much better than the plastic push in collar mounts. In addition, I really like the look on the mounts.
