Almost all brands of fans I have used have turning on problems every six months or a year. But Amazon Basics is the best. Overall the fan is good and noise level is ok... not very low and not very high also.... but the fan pole and base plate joint is not very sturdy and feels as if the fan will fall or the joint will break.

I have taken this fan 3 months ago and now its not working.Amazon Basic is a good brand But I didnt expect thats goes in 3 months.Speed will also reduces for every week we need to.clean it and use ot again.We can buy a good quality fan for 2000 with warrenty as well.Please do check before buying worst fan.

Very cheap quality & no quality control whatsoever. The manual sent with the fan is wrong. it describes a lock nut for the fan blades which is missing, swivel nut bolt comes in hand while turning it, the fan propeller does not all the way inside the rotor shaft & so the top locking nut does not screw on. I had apply superglues to put in place.Amazon should to focus on the material quality & control rather than just selling in bulk. Absolutely third class quality.Unfortunately i had already took out my old fan whose motor was burnt other wise i would have returned it.
