Lightweight unit, well-constructed and looks like a quality product.Came at the ideal time of year, when we are starting to be bothered by flies around the house. For maximum effectiveness they recommend running it in a location without any other sources of light, so the mosquitos etc. are attracted to the light.The unit has instructions on the top label for removing the guards for cleaning, which would also apply to a bulb change if required. You need to remove the guard to remove some transit foam which is between the bulbs, a case of removing two screws then popping the cage side out of some retaining clips then removing it, with a reverse to refit.The unit has a small tray at the base for the collection of dead flies etc. which just sits loose under the caged of section. The noise of the ‘zap’ when activated can cause you to jump a bit if nearby!Generally seems well designed and made, it does have a cable that feeds into the top which does not seem ideal, however the cable is quite flexible and though thin, the unit appears fairly stable, our other unit has a cable that feeds in the top as well, so seems a common design feature.It still needs to be located and plugged in with some care and thought so does not get pulled over by someone catching the cable. The top chain hanger might well be the safest way to use it.

I'm going to be perfectly honest, if I had not previously purchased two similar units, I would of presumed that the foam stayed inside the cage.That is potentially a hazard, not only the foam being placed there, but also if you haven't noticed before you have plugged this in to the mains, you could becin for a nasty shock as the electocuting grill can hold an electrical charge for a significant amount of time after unplugging this bug Zapper.So, Is this foam really essential inside the grill?My previous purchases didn't have this placed in the centre for transit purposes and both purchases was securely wrapped enough with a outer foam border to absorb any bangs or knocks and ensure the tubes stayed intact.Not only now do I know I need to remove the block of foam, I have not been provided with a screwdriver to remove the screws, to remove the foam?It shouldn't be presumed everyone has a screwdriver within their home, I haven't.I do have a pair of tweezers which I could try to use and mimic as a flathead screwdriver, but, that is as close to a screwdriver as I'm going to get at this moment in time.This probably works like my other wall mounted bug zappers, which are of identical appearance to this one but unlike this one, both previous was immediately available to plug in and use straight out of the box.

This is a good size, looks good and works.I have some criticisms, which is why only four stars:1) There is a packing block of polystyrene inside the unit that means you have to dissemble it to a degree to get out! This involves unscrewing screws and removing one of the mesh sides. The nuts then fell out and rolled onto the floor! None of this is mentioned in the instructions; I'll bet people just leave it in there. The instructions on a sticker on the top for changing the bulbs are essentially what you need to follow, except they say to PUSH the wire mesh when in fact you need to pull it; prize it out with a screwdriver actually.2) When doing the above I realised that the energised zapping mesh frame that is inside is only on one side of the bulbs. Potentially flies can come in through the unguarded side and not get zapped. This seems a very stupid design that could easily have been done differently. It is like that so that you can replace the bulbs easily.3) The tray that sits in the bottom is held by a cable tie for transit, but I wish I had left that in place as the tray is so loose. Every time I move the lamp the tray falls out, annoying!Those points aside, it works and looks stylish.
