Improvements
There are no significant changes from the previous version - I was expecting a little more, to be quite honest.

cricket captain 2010
The game can be good fun , its good that you can be a english County. However the graphics are terrible and the company that made the game clearly do not no the rules, my player was given out by a lbw that hit him outside the line and ny players get caught even though the ball has bounced . Also you dont have much control over the matches you just click over and the rest is luck.

Great
This is a great game for all cricket lovers and has a few improvements from previous editions with the addition of the ICC 2020 world cup and the opportunity to sign overseas player separately for the 20/20 and the entire season. Basically if you're looking for a good cricket game on PC then this is definitely one to pick.

Disappointing
The game is much improved from 2005 version but still needs improved the graffics are good but the game needs to be made more realistic When you pick your overseas pro you often find they are unable to play due to other comitments. some of the scoring rates are redicules 2 runs or less per over and if you have 5 wickets left in the last over of any game needing 6 runs to win, you should be able to win not blocking all 6 scoring only a couple of singles.

Same stuff, year after year
I don't really see how childish things/empire can get away with releasing a game, which in all fairness is a database update of the previous version. Up to date statistics, global competitions, aus and eng domestic competitions, it has it all, but apart from aus domestic setup so did the last 6 or 7 odd International cricket captain games. They have not updated the graphics from the previous years, they even used the exact same menus as last years version, a measure of how lazy the developers have been. In all honesty apart from the updated data and T20 competitions, this game has not changed for 10 years. Pros: Fairly realistic game engine, up to date statistics, good domestic competitions. Cons: Been there done that, rehash of a game well past its sell by date, if you have last years (or any since 2008), don't bother with this. I am no games developer, but just a few handy ideas in case they want to make a new one next year, include a player scouting interface, have non-cricketing statistics, i.e. mental traits, physical traits (height, weight, natural fitness, etc). Be able to hire and fire staff. Be able to alter grounds, bid for international matches to get extra funds. Have a more detailed player development interface. There is so much this game could be, all the developers have to do is take a look at the football manager series. p.s. Its little wonder the developers don't release a data editor, it would make their entire team redundant.

Cricket knowledge lacking
I can only surmise that the designers of this game have very little knowledge of the laws of cricket. There are numerous instances of LBW decisions being given when the ball pitches outside the line of the off stump and hit's there as well and a shot is being played, which as anybody with an ounce of knowledge knows cannot be out. However the worst examples are some I have noticed recently where a player has been given out caught when the imaging showed the ball clearly bouncing!!! It seems that the people producing the game are regressing as in the older versions you at least got a decent image of current players rather than the current 3D image that looks like Kryton in most cases and their lack of knowledge is becoming embarrassing.
