A Must-Have for Every Fly Tyer!
If you're serious about fly tying, this thread spool stand is a game-changer. I was tired of juggling loose spools and dealing with tangles, but this stand keeps everything organized and within reach. The design is sturdy yet lightweight, and it holds multiple spools securely without wobbling.I also appreciate the thoughtfulness in the spacing—it’s just right for easy access without crowding. Bonus points for the non-slip base, which keeps it steady on my workbench. For anyone looking to streamline their fly tying setup, this is worth every penny. It’s one of those small investments that makes a big difference. Highly recommended!

Nice but cracked
I like this thread holder but it came cracked. If I would have paid less money for it I wouldn't complain. For $18 it should have showed up in good condition. Overall it is nice and built solid

Organize
Ordered this for my husband who ties his own flies for fishing. He keeps his "threads/spools" in a small tackle box or tote presently. I thought this would help him see what he has and keep track of how much better. He has a large metal utility cabinet for storage so he just put this in there and take out when tying flies. It is a nice heavy (sure hardwood) piece, and the pegs come wrapped separate so you can space them as you like if you have some bigger spools. I highly recommend this for any fly fishermen out there that tie their own flies, and actually I was thinking about it for my sewing thread but I have a large Swedish brand pull-out tray already so its going to him.

Works Great For Me
This product was selected by and for me, but judged to be better suited for the Lady of the House. The following review is written by her and edited by me.This Raprance Fly Tying Thread Spool Stand was ordered by my husband for off-label use holding items in his workshop. After trying it, he decided to give it to me to use in my sewing workshop. This is a nice sturdy product that is well made and works great for holding my spools. This makes organizing and viewing colors for each project a snap. It holds the regular size thread spools wonderfully, but it is not suited for the bigger and wider spools. The nice quality wood is smooth and durable. Some of the pegs are a bit loose but a drop of glue will fix that.I need all the help I can get for organizing my quilt making threads.I am very happy with this thread holder.

Better than a shoe box.
Up until I received this organizer I kept all of my fly tying thread in a plastic shoe box. It was always a chore to open the box and dig through the spools until I found the color I needed. This board makes it possible to keep all of my fly tying spools organized and easy to see, reducing the amount of time setting up to tie flies. I have my spools organized by color and weight so I have what I need at my fingertips when I ready. Overall a great addition to my bench and I wish I’d picked something up like this years ago.

Basic but it works
I didn’t need much out of the product. The goal is to simply hold thread. It is real wood, so you get what you pay for. The pegs are not attached to main piece so you have to do a bit of assembly. Overall, it gets the job done but it’s just basic and feels cheap (still sturdy).
