I wasn’t expecting this faceplate to go this hard. The rainbow LEDs are mad vibrant and give my PS5 a whole new vibe—especially at night. It’s like having a mini light show every time I power up.Installation was calm, took me less than 10 minutes, no tools needed. Fits snug and looks premium, not some cheap plastic thing. The LED modes are proper too—solid colours, breathing effects, and even a reactive mode that changes with sound.Perfect if you’re trying to flex your setup or just want your PS5 to stand out. Been getting bare compliments from the mandem ever since I slapped it on.

To start with, these do look fantastic. They are identical to the original spider plates - minus the Sony logo at the top corner. Very happy on the appearance front.The main point I want to get across in this review is some attachment advice. To start with, I really struggled with applying the faceplate. Spent a good five minutes trying to push it into place with no luck. I checked the listing and noticed someone else mentioned the same thing as well. I thought it might just be the item until I watched the video on the listing…Let’s just say we can blame my man brain for ignoring the instructions, failing to work it out and then blaming the product. If you slide the hooks into the holes, rather than trying to force them in, it literally attaches in seconds. Really easy. I noticed a small print out of instructions in the bottom of the box saying the same thing as well. Gave me a good chuckle at least. Save yourself some agro and slide it on as intended.

I of course missed out on ordering the real ones as they sold out instantly and have been looking for similar ones for a while. Found these and they look basically identical to the real ones, most people couldn't tell them apart.The biggest issue is they are a massive struggle to put on. It took me about 20 minutes with a lot of attempts as the plastic isn't even, so trying to get it to clip in was a pain but I got there in the end and they do look quite good.Noticed the price on these fluctuate quite a bit too. I got them for £40 but noticed they went up to £50. I personally don't think they're worth £50 but for £40 they are quite good.
