Bootstrap 1020 trays are built to last decades of gardening use!
Good quality will last many seasons. Happy with my purchase although they're not inexpensive compared to other flimsy trays out there. Invest wisely in Bootstrap or replace your flimsy trays every couple years, it adds up!

Perfect for microgreens
These extra-strength trays from Bootstrap Farmer are perfect for Microgreens I grow for home use. I've used them for both a soil mixture and a hydroponic mat with equal success. The holes in the tray allow bottom watering and they can be nested in the shallow trays without holes sold by Bootstrap Farmer to drain or to cover when sprouted for weight. Pictured are a tray of radishes in these trays that I've just begun to harvest.

Random Amazon Charges
These trays are great, they are definitely pricey compared to home stores, but the quality is proportionately better. I had trays from menards, and it was impossible to hold the tray with one hand without it breaking. The drainage is also much better on these because there's cross-channels between the rows. The real purpose of this review is to get some customer service from amazon since there's literally no other way to contact them right now.Side note to Amazon:I keep seeing random charges from amazon on my credit card statement. There may or may not be a perfectly good explanation, but there is NO WAY to contact amazon about it. Their help page says "call us by phone" but doesn't list a number. I googled the number and they have an automatic response that basically says "no customer service because of the virus."I'm not saying stop using amazon, I'm just saying be careful and check your bank statements, because I have unaccounted for charges over $50, and you may too.

I'm back for more.
This wheatgrass operation of mine is growing out of control. I decided to get colored trays so I could get a better visual handle on things. If you order the colored pack, the white, and the black (elsewhere on amazon), you can get 7 days of different colors. I just LOVE these trays. I am still in the process of using some of another company's trays, but they are cycling out of my production. When I lift the covers on my wheatgrass, I can see immediately which company made the trays. These trays have just the right hole placement and grooving on the bottom to keep the little wheat berries in line. The other trays are very haphazard, an result in a lot of clumping and less production. Plus, they crack in the middle when lifted carelessly (the only way I know how t do things). Got to keep the chickens happy. Some people actually cut the tops of the wheatgrass for smoothies, then throw the rest to the chickens. I've been to busy for that. 8-) These trays are seriously the best. Besides, I was tired of all black. Don't be afraid of ordering too many. You will have these a VERY long time.

Strong and durable, worth it!
I purchased these for microgreen production - On The Grow Farms recommends them because of how long they last compared to the cheap flimsy ones. They are great & very strong. The colors are fun. Would definitely recommend.

Basically ok- too pricey for what you get
Easy to clean, BUT sidewalls are not strong - I’ve had 5 sides crack since getting them- not lifting a bunch of weight- just I long up a tray with soil (not watered) and they cracked- so useless.I also feel they are way too expensive especially in light of the cracked sides…They are also not a standard size- they do not fit well in a standard 1020 nested.
