A Festive, Heartwarming Tale
This was my Christmas Eve read - a heartwarming and uplifting tale that really captured the magic of Christmas. I loved the blend of imagination and relatability, along with the great storytelling and diverse characters. Beautifully illustrated, it’s a festive adventure full of warmth, humour and a sprinkle of enchantment - it gave me all the Christmassy feels.

Good versus evil
I chose Juniper’s Christmas, a book for 8-11 years by Eoin Colfer, because I have enjoyed all his Artemis Fowl stories. Children’s books are not just for children! Juniper Lane and her mother are just beginning to feel positive after two years of sadness following her father’s death. As Christmas approaches Jennifer Lane sets out for the hairdresser’s but she doesn’t come home to Juniper that day. Luckily her mother’s good friend Duchess, a homeless lady who camped out in Cedar Park, was there to take care of Juniper and they seek out the help of another homeless figure, Niko, to help them find Jennifer. But Niko, like Duchess has a secret & he doesn’t listen to Juniper.Meanwhile the world has sadly received no Christmas presents from Santa Claus so every December a Santa Vigil took place in the park by people hoping Santa will return. When Juniper encounters one of Santa’s flying reindeers she may be able to find her mother and Santa Claus. This is a touching, emotional tale of kindness and disaster which easily enabled me to suspend my disbelief following this courageous young girl and the adults who cared for her. A feel-good book for all.

Great story read non stop
Quite a different twist for a Christmas story. It was hard to stop reading. I wanted to keep going to follow what would happen next. I didn't have any dislike any of the story. It kept my interest to the end.I buy my books as ebooks. All of my reading is on my tablet or phone. I'll look up your name to see other books you have written.

great story
A very good Christmas tale with a modern setting. The characters are interesting and quirky and the interaction makes for a fun reading. Great book for reading aloud to children.

Not the Christmas story you’re expecting but really need
I put this book on my Christmas list because I wanted to read about a Christmas story. I had no idea what it was about but I adore Eoin Colfers storytelling. At this point I want to thank my sister for this wonderful gift. My review title sums it up perfectly. I don’t want to give away anything with this review because you, dear reader, need to take this trip alone. All I will tell you is that you should. Happy reading

Highly recommend this book.
“I like plot twists and this book had lots of them. And also, epilogues are fun because we get to know future events.” - Jaxon, 9 years old
