Fantastic, but faulty.... TWICE!
These are possibly some of the best boots i've owned, beautiful, comfy and solid.HOWEVER, the two pairs that i have received both suffered from the same problem. The elastic along the top of the right side gore on the right boot has come away on both pairs that i have received from Amazon which leads me to believe that they are both from the same faulty batch that Amazon has probably purchased from Dr. Martens and is why they are selling at £85 rather than the RRP of £135Now i will be getting another pair of these as i cannot live without them now that i have had a pair (or two)BUT BE WARNED that yours may suffer from the same faults as mine.Fantastic service from amazon however!EDIT: I have now received my third pair of these boots and they are made in Thailand, whereas the two pairs i had before were made in Vietnam and as other reviewers had raised complaints about ones from Vietnam also then as long as yours are made in Thailand you should be fine!!

Very nice boots, especially for the price - but take care with the sizing
Still breaking them in at the moment, but they seem to be nicer than my old black 2976s. Previous pair were a UK Size 10 (Euro 45) and they turned out to be too big once they were broken in, so I went half a size down for these (UK 9.5, Euro 44) and they fit perfectly. Interestingly Dr Martens seem to be half a size out on the UK sizes compared to most other manufacturers - in all my other shoes a Euro 44 is a UK 10, and a Euro 45 is a UK 10.5. Worth bearing in mind, as if you order based on the UK size listed you'll probably find they end up being half a size too large. The leather is VERY nice quality compared to the smooth coated DMs - this is a traditional waxy leather, which takes a coat of Wonder Balsam very nicely, is very flexible and looks like it's going to age well. The chunkier soles on these 'core milled' rugged boots will hopefully last longer than the tradition DM tread pattern, which goes smooth after about 2 years and becomes lethal on anything other than dry tarmac (wet grass? I hope you like sitting down unexpectedly...).Overall I'd recommend these so far, especially at the price I got them (£60 at time of purchase, 50% of the price direct from Dr Martens).

These are not the cheapest boots around, they ARE worth the extra.
Decently made, a proper fit and (in my eyes at least) quite attractive, they take little wearing in. I find them most comfortable, even when worn for an extended spell. The materials used are well chosen, and feel of appropriate weight without making the boots feel heavy. This is the third time I have bought DMs and my confidence in their durability continues to grow, I just wish that the "skinhead" image of some of their products hadn't put me off for so long. My loss I suppose. These are not the cheapest boots around, they ARE worth the extra.

Small
These seem to run small, I think it’s because of the furry lining?? It wasn’t the usual ‘needed breaking in’ type of tight, just too small. Very nice boots, but I had to return and get the next size up.

I LOVE these boots
I'm a student and was looking for some boots to wear on my long-ish walk to uni every day. Previously, I have bought many pairs of cheap winter boots from high street retailers that have no grip on the soles and fall apart in weeks. I am so glad I chose to make a bit more of an investment in these boots as they are really built to last. I have worn them most days this winter and they are exactly what I was looking for. They are so warm that they have kept my feet toasty through hours of walking in the snow. I polish mine up occasionally using the DM wonder balsam but generally I'm happy with them having a few little scuffs and looking a little bit 'shabby chic'. They do take a little bit of wearing in, I'd recommend wearing two pairs of thick socks for the first few days. After they are worn in, they are so comfortable, warm and waterproof, (as mentioned above, I use the Wonder Balsam on them, which helps with waterproofing). They look great with jeans and I have had so many compliments on them. I imagine that this pair will last me a while but when they do eventually give in, I won't hesitate to get another pair. Definitely a great investment!

Super happy with these
I was a bit nervous, as I was worried that they would be Made in China and not the traditional Made in Britain versions, aka less good, but I was super happy with these boots. They pull on pretty easily and fit as expected, they feel comfortable straight away aside from a little rubbing at the back (but what would you expect from DMs?!). They were delivered quickly, and they look great and fit snugly but not too tight and hard to get on and off. They are not too clunky either which is great because (as a girl with size 8 feet) I was worried they might be too masculine, but as I said they look great and actually make my feet look smaller than my previous pair of DM Floras did. They are also more comfy than the Floras so overall I'm happy with my choice and would defo recommend!

Almost impossible to get on
What have Dr Martens done to their boots? Before the demise of the high street shops i used to buy these boots by physically going to a store (i have had 5 or 6 pairs over the years)" Can i have these in a size 9 please?" i would say, " certainly sir" would come the reply. I would pull them on, say "yes thankyou i'll take those" and all would be well. Now i'm having to order them online and they are different, it is a monumental struggle to get them on. I have discarded a pair i bought a month ago (vegan leather) a total waste of £150 pounds. I thought buying proper leather ones would solve the problem but no! After a titanic struggle i got them on the other night (once they were on they were actually quite roomy) but when it came to taking them off again about 5 hours later it took me a whole 5 minutes of struggling and cursing to get them off. Serious design fault Dr Martens! I'm out of pocket to the tune of £300 pounds and very far from happy.
