I will be using this lighter infrequently, I don't smoke, but I do occasionally have a need for something to be lit on fire such as a gas stove or a barbecue, so for me the functionality of this lighter works well.It's a reassuringly heavy metal lighter, with a see through window where you can see some circuitry. The lid is easy to flip open and clicks into place nicely. Provided you have charge, the "power button" which seems to be a capacitive button rather than tactile just needs a thumb or finger on it to start the electronic arcs firing.The safety mechanism is to allow you to engage the lighter once and then you must close the lid before using it again. I feel like this is the correct way to secure the lighter from mistaken firings.It works fine and easily alights paper. Being USB-C chargeable means you shouldn't be left looking for a cable as most things are USB-C now.

The arc work well, and can light most things in almost all conditions. The casing is poor however and easily scratched. It fits poorly, as the USB port on mine was wonky and hard to get onto. The battery is also short lived, with only a couple of days use (5-10 uses per day).Possibly better options out there

My other half is the one that smokes and she constantly buys these cheap lighters that never work, especially when it's a bit windy outside. She was very chuffed when I gave her this. It's a good size and battery seems fine so far. Much easier to just charge this rather than refilling or buying more of those cheap lighters, over time works out good value for money.
