Great for a kitchen or hallway
Good soft white color--feels true to the 3000k advertised. No flicker. No delay in turning on or off (they're faster in fact than the halogens I replaced with these). My only negative is that they don't dim as much as my halogens did--maybe they go down about halfway vs. about 80% for the halogens. This makes these lights fine for the kitchen, where dimming isn't so important, but maybe less so for a bedroom. They also don't get warmer in color as they dim, a charming trait of halogens and other incandescent bulbs, but that's true of all LED bulbs, I think, and a trade-off for the energy saving, long life and low heat. They are also reasonably durable, as Amazon packed them with an 8 pack of D batteries, with no padding, so the batteries had knocked around and damaged the box the lights came in, but none of the lights were damaged.

I really like the bulbs better than using halogin bulbs
They are really bright, very nice. The only problem I have had with them is for some reason one night I had 6 bulbs on a light track go out all together. They were on track fixtures with 12V transformers. three of the bulbs shorted when they quit and ended up taking out the transformers, the other three did not short out the transformer. I actually took the bulbs apart and found the rectifier chip had overheated and burned up. I ended up replacing the rectifier with short pieces of wire and am using the bulbs to make 12VDC flashlights. They make very bright flashlights.

Everything works but it seems to be used the way the box that was packaged in. Overall a nice deal and good value. Much better than halogen

Do not use in track lighting
These bulbs are not compatible with older style track lights and will burn out, short, and cause your transformers to burn out. Ruined about 20 track heads in a customers house.

It appears they were not compatible with my Lutron dimmer ...
It appears they were not compatible with my Lutron dimmer. Unfortunately I had to return them.Never had a problem with Halogen 12v 20w lamps and Lutron dimmer. Likely not enough load using these LEDs.
