Very good knife at a good price.
Extremely happy with my purchase . The knife is very sharp and has a good weight to it. Feels great in the hand and is very easy to use.Handle and blade go together well. The knife looks the part and cuts with ease.

A thing of Beauty
This knife has a solid, robust and high quality feel to it, the blade is fairly thick and has some heft, it looks really quite beautiful (particularly the handle), costs a heck of a lot less than similar products, and as for sharpness - well it's no exaggeration to say that you can thinly slice a tomato with ease and without having to break the skin with a point and, heck, I could shave with it.Anyone thinking it's still a bit much to spend on a kitchen knife I'd ask how important to them is ease of use regardless of its looks being a bit of a show stopper. When the quality is this good I'm not going to pick holes in the fact that it is made in China. Does it use "Japanese" steel? Impossible to know and quite frankly I don't care.I've bought HECEF's cheaper knife sets in the past and been very happy with them but this is a very clear step up.

Good item
Upon inspection it seems to be genuine damascus style folded steel, 60HA hardness, centre of mass balance is off towards the blade by about 1 finger.. but bearable I guess... weight seems more than ok, sharpness is great - for this price it is a great bargain and a quality item. This is just first impression, I will se how long it will last sharp before repeated sharpening.

Very impressed and believe me I'm very picky with knives!
Very good, well made knife. It retains its edge really well, its a very strong damascus steel blade so is literally razor sharp and it looks amazing. No issues at all just would have been nice to have a full blade protector rather than the little point protectors although it is presented well in the box. Feels well balanced and is comfortable in the hand. Not to heavy so is easy to use. Over all a beautiful knife, my new favourite.Wouldn't let me upload pictures but it does look as good as the pictures, if not better.

Very nice
Very sharp, nice looking. I don't feel that the Damascus pattern showed up very well, it was mostly the hammer pattern. However, the person I gifted it to was delighted with it

Very sharp & looks nice but the blade is too heavy
The blade is razor sharp out the box. It looks lovely and the handle is great (both in terms of aesthetics and ergonomics). However the blade is too heavy, leaving the knife a tad unbalanced. Furthermore, the pits (pseudo hammer marks) in the blade don't work for discouraging food retention and require vigilant cleaning. The handle seems to be discolouring fast, and I question whether the naked/ unfinished wood will remain sanitary. Also probably fake Damascus steel at this price point.Compared to other cheap-ish Chinese manufactured chef knifes, this is fine. It is visually attractive, has an ergonomic handle & really is exceptionally sharp. However I would not recommend paying the RRP of £40 as due to a) the weight and b) questionable longevity of the blade and handle

JUST WATCH YOU DON'T CUT YOUR FINGER OFF. EXCELLENT PRODUCT ESPECIALLY FOR ALL IT COST, PAID MORE FOR KNIVES THAT AREN'T A PATCH ON THIS ONE.
