its very good
Wasnt sure if to give 4 or 5 stars...but the keyboard is good. As someone else mentioned, while typing sometimes a key press is ignored because you do need to press firmly or relatively slowly. Another down side is that the track pad speed or sensitivity cant be adjusted and several times I have felt the need to alter it. But they are the down sides, the upside to this keyboard is that it is very well made, the folding is excellent and the size is perfect. I use it often. Its not as good as a normal keyboard but the portability is what I want and it is very functional. The best part about it is that you can connect it to 3 different devices without having the hassle of pairing each time you change device, you simply pair once for each device and when you connect yopu just press the button that corresponds to the device you want to connect to - this is an excellent feature which I havent seen before. There is a simple little stand for a phone which works well which could also support a tablet. Charging is easy and battery lasts well (it has never run out on me although I do charge all my devices once per week whether I use them or not - thats a good habit :) ) Genuinely impressed. Hopefully in the future this keyboard could have some track pad sensitivity adjustment added and make the keys able to be typed with quicker - but for a portable keyboard that folds away easily for work on a train / bus / car / coffee shop its a good buy.

Excellent keyboard, I really recommend!
This genuinely is an excellent keyboard. It’s really responsive and there is no lag. The keys feel nice nice to press and you do get that satisfying keyboard clicky sound. I haven’t had any issues with any of the buttons being non responsive nor do I feel like I have to press firmly on the keys. In my opinion they are just the same as your standard laptop ones. It does take a bit of getting used to though, especially with the Caps button. It did drive me a little bit insane to start with but I’m used to it now. To turn the Caps on, sometimes it works straight away and other times you have to hold the button down for a second. It’s really inconsistent. So if you're not the fastest typer like myself and need to focus more on the keyboard than the screen, it’s easy to just assume you’ve switched it on, only to find out you haven’t if that makes sense. It is nice and clear though when switched on as a little blue arrow appears and stays until you switch it back off. Anyway, aside from that, I have no other issues with this keyboard. It’s really nice and light, but doesn’t feel flimsy at all. It looks and feels a lot more quality that other foldables and unlike most, it comes with a pouch to keep it in, which has a little front pocket with a mini stand in it and you can also put the charging cable in there. Lastly, as I mentioned earlier, it can take a bit of time to get used to as there are a lot of features to remember, for example swiping up on the trackpad with 3 fingers opens up the page showing you all the apps running in the background, which makes it simple to switch between apps. A one finger tap on the trackpad acts as a mouse left click and a two finger tap as a right mouse click. Swiping your fingers quickly will enlarge the cursor on the screen so you know where it is. Everything you need to know is in the instruction manual and there are some slight differences in gestures depending on whether you are using a Mac, iPad or Android or Windows. I would suggest keeping the manual in the pouch with your keyboard so you can always refer to it until you remember it all and it just becomes muscle memory. As well as tapping on the trackpad, there is a physical button located on the left side of the trackpad and halfway up you can use. I think this is solely for preference though as there is no difference between tapping or clicking, they both do the same thing. I would definitely recommend you give this keyboard a try as you will be genuinely surprised at the quality of it, especially for the price.

Folds away surprisingly neatly
Opened out, this keyboard feels much closer to a regular desktop layout than most portable models I've tried. The keys are well spaced and don't have that cramped feeling that often comes with travel accessories. The hinge mechanism feels secure when fully extended, and the touchpad is large enough to be genuinely useful rather than just included as a feature on the box. Folding it down takes seconds, leaving a compact package that slips easily into a backpack or laptop sleeve without taking up much room. It proved particularly handy during a few days working away from home using a tablet instead of a laptop. Typing emails and longer documents felt far more natural than relying on an on-screen keyboard, and navigating with the integrated touchpad meant there was no need to carry a separate mouse. Bluetooth pairing was straightforward and remained stable throughout use. Once finished, it folded away and disappeared into a side pocket ready for the next trip.

What a great professional portable keyboard!
So I don't usually leave reviews unless something exceeds my expectations and this is one of those moments. I reviewed many portable keyboards and as a software developer use tech a lot, so needed something functional and portable. Firstly, I have to commend ProtoArc in their product packaging as looks and feels like you're opening top end Microsoft or Mac product. Refreshing! Secondly, the unit seems well made and works very well. Keyboard feels nice to use and trackpad works perfectly. It's small enough to be portable and comes with a convenient case and phone stand, but large enough to be practical to use. Connected straightaway to my phone and woks like a dream. Only time will tell if it lasts, but very pleased with the purchase so far.

Very happily received
Bought as a gift for my dad but he's very happy with it. I had a look at it myself and was impressed by the build quality and the key feel when typing. We especially like how the split works where it keeps the keys intact whilst other keyboards split the keys.

High-quality product and well worth the price.
I purchased this to be used alongside my new Samsung Z Fold 6 as I think the phone will be a good mobile workstation. I am impressed with the initial unboxing experience (comes with a lovely card from the designer and the team). The product feels very solid and sturdy and the keyboard is full-sized; I actually use it to type this review. Pairing was straightforward - it is in pairing mode the instant I unfolded the keyboard. The shortcut keys and function (brightness etc) work as expected and the trackpad mounted on the right side is responsive. It also comes with a nice stand for my phone to prop it up whilst typing or viewing media. The keys are comfortable with good amount of travel. It also charges via USB-C (I cannot comment on the battery life yet at this point). As a bonus, there is a PU carrying pouch included for both the keyboard and stand. I am very pleased with this purchase - hopefully this company will continue churning out great products.

Some keys fail within six months of use.
ProtoArc XK01 folding keyboard. Some of the keys failed in just under six months. The opening and closing of this keyboard, obviously damages or stresses the electrial connection to the keys. Certain keys onky work if the keyboard is folded partially closed. Abysmal waste of money, for a six month product life.

Ok but lacks documentation and has a design flaw
I bought this because my desktop died shortly before I got a brand new phone, and I realised that my phone is now basically my computer because I can't afford a new computer. In general, I'm pretty happy with it. It's small, reliable, light, goes for a long time between charges, connected instantly to my phone, and the keys feel nice. However, the documentation is very skimpy. There are lots of alternate keystrokes which it's not clear how to access, and there is one annoying design flaw: the screen capture key is right next to the Backspace, so my right little finger hits it about 5% of the time when I meant to hit Backspace. This is irritating, and anyway I have no need for a screen capture key, and I can't disable it. However, it was fairly cheap and for most purposes it does the job fine. One star off for the placement of the screen capture key and one star off for the unhelpful absence of documentation.
