UmarexCO2 Saver Adapter for Airgun 88g CO2 Capsules

Wasted my expensive CO2 cartridge, leaked and emptied could feel it leaking through the bottom. Wish I didn't spend money on this

First thing I'm not being paid to do this review . After reading a bunch of reviews about this adapter I decided to get 2 . I tried one today and it performed flawless. One thing I did was buy adapters to convert to 88/90s . Never bought bottles. They allow you to use this adapter and save Co2. Without them I don't think you can use this item unless it's the same size thread size as the 88/90 bottle. I got JT adapters and they're fine. The thread count in the picture was I believe 5/6. When they arrived the count was 10 and good thing because that gives you plenty of thread so you don't bottom out and not pierce the Co2. This adapter saver has the male and female 88/90 threads. Make sure you put a little o ring oil on the o rings ,top of Co2 bottle and it won't hurt to put a little on smooth part of the bottle, approx. 1/4 in . if you look in side the adapter you will see the o ring and what I'm talking about. What I did was oil everything up ,screw the JT on first then this saver, I used pliers and a rag to to hold the JT and I hand screwed the saver in. Then I snugged the saver very slightly with a 1 in. wrench. Then the bottle by hand nice and snug . I hardly heard a sound. Now when your done just gently break the saver adaptor with the 1 in. wrench while holding the JT or whatever one you have with a rag and pliers. Then you unscrew by hand , you'll hear a little Co2 but not much. Hope this helps .

I used this adapter with my new Fusion 2 rifle. It attached perfectly definitely no mods required. The problem is removal since the adapter can not be reached with a wrench and I screwed it into the gun tighter than the CO2 cartridge. To remove the adapte would require cutting an access port into the forearm. Probably the better solution is to screw the CO2 cartridge into the adapter more tightly than into the gun, as recommended by Umarex. An easy way to do this could be by putting the adapter into a vise and then use a strap wrench to tighten the CO2 cartridge. I will try this next time when I finish off the current cartridge. Report: it did not work. I wll try medium threadlocker next on the cartridge threads.

Yes, this product does not work on the Fusion 2. But with slight modification it can. As this adapter has a short taper at the end. I just took a Dremel tool and a caliper to measure for when I was about the size (diameter) of the dual 12 gram tube end. Then took some sand paper to give it a smooth finish. In a nut shell I matched the stock Fusion's dual co2 tube assembly end. Hope this helps some other purchasers or future buyers.
