Q: Why is the pocket zipper blocked from going all the way down due to material being sewn across the pocket? zipper stops about 3 inches from bottom

My understanding is that the original design had the zipper open all they way past the sewn in block. But they had complaints that things would fall out of the pocket too easily when sitting.

Q: Are this made out of nylon/polyester and are these conformable as seat pants?

Yes...nylon/polyester! And are some of the most comfortable pants I own! Seat pants? Well, not only do I wear them sailing, I wore them to the US Grand Prix in Austin. 90° F and had no issues sitting watching the race! As far as I'm concerned, money well spent! I own 3 pair.

mens medum is a little over 34in, i wear a 30x34, or a 28x32 with some pants, and i would say for you to go on the smaller side, they run a bit larg
