Nice knife but it does not meet my needs because it will not trim more that 1/4". I use a similar knife for trimming wax off my ski edges but it allows for 1/2" or more blade length to cur off the wax.

Only worked on the backer sheet if I set the blade to full tension. Blade works on a tension basis, nit on an extension basis like a regular knife. So when you cut it pushes up and in. Although it works, if I had thicker backer it would not work well. But still not a bad purchase at all.

It genuinely cuts at a minimum depth! For example, I’m able to cut washi tape off of tomoe river paper without cutting through the underside of the washi. Both are insanely thin paper. The only part I have a pretty big issue with is the blade is not secure. It moves up and down, which is a frustrating little detail whether I’m trying to line it up for a straight cut or for more detailed cutting around complex images. Which was something I was hoping to do at a controlled depth. I returned the first one because I thought the wobbly blade was due to damage. But the second one has the same thing. I can’t imagine what the benefit of a wobbly blade has to depth control. I haven’t read any other complaints about this so there’s even a possibility that I just have a second faulty product I’m not sure.
