There is not diagram as well as no instructions. However on the bottom of it- it is considered a double pole double throw rocker switch.

How does one remove broken pedal

I would assume it depends some on the brand/typ of kids tractor you have. For ours I had to remove the bottom part of the tractor and then you could see inside and see the pedal. I then had to unplug the current broken peddal and then you just push it through to remove it.
