Great for Stained Glass work AND for rock/gem intarsia projects.
This is exactly what I needed for a class I am taking in making pictures with various colors of cut and polished slices of stones (Intarsia) and also for my hobby of working in simple designs with stained glass and solder. They work quite well in holding the project until finished and soldered or glued in place. They are sturdy and can be used over and over. I have given a few to a friend in class and she likes the sturdiness and the ability to reuse.

Golden Spike?
I wanted these to make a pin commemorating the coming together of the Central Pacific and the Union Pacific railroads at Promontory Point, Utah. I spray painted them gold and put them on a pin back as favors for an event. They worked perfectly.

Much better than expected
I use them for holding stained glass pieces in place for soldering. These nails have the perfect profile and are much better than the ones i used before.

Nailed it!
Tradition says to use horseshoe nails when constructing stained glass windows and when I expanded my repertoire and started making several windows at a time, I needed more nails. I'm sure some horse is blissfully happy that I snagged these so he could run free of shoes. Me, I'm happy enough that I've got these. Stained glass stores charge too much for these and finding them at Farm and Fleet or other farmy shops is difficult these days. I guess the horses have to shop on Amazon, too, for their latest fashion statements. As for me, I'm working my way through the box and thanking the horse who's going barefoot so that I might hold my glass and came in place. Thanks Mr. Ed.

they are horseshoe nails
I am using the nails to attach our old horseshoes to various objects for fairy/gnome doors. Work well for that.

Useful for crafts
Easy to use these for a variety of craft projects like heart necklaces, and rings. Note that they have very sharp points that will need to be ground down, and a few burrs on the edges. Also note that they make tiny rings unless you solder two together or modify them in some way.No idea if they are good for shoeing horses.

These nails are what I needed to build a stained glass window.
Horseshoe nails are the best nails for fitting together the pieces of stained glass while building an art glass window. These are a good buy. Other places sell fewer of them for quite a bit more.
