I used to see these for sale at the Aveda Salon and I thought the price was ridiculous. (It was a lot higher then.) It did still feel like a lot of money for a piece of plastic but this is the absolutely best massager I’ve ever purchased. I’ve had a knot I’m my shoulder for 2 months. I’ve purchased several products to help me get it out and this is the only one that worked. I should have bought it years ago when I first saw it.Other items I’ve tried: portable shiatsu massage specifically for shoulders, a metal ball that you freeze and roll over the knot, device with electric pads that give a shock to the muscles, and a ball to use by putting between you and a wall. Heated pad - both plugged in and one disposable to keep on all day. Hours and hours of ice packs.I wasted a lot more money than just buying it right away. Don’t make the same mistake I did! It is exactly like the picture so I’m not adding a photo. It is quality plastic that’s strong and doesn’t bend at all as far as I can tell.

I have suffered from back issues most of my life. I cannot tell you how much relief this product brings me. Though I go through life with severe back issues, I am very active. I should have had back surgery 3 weeks ago, but I didn't like the prognosis, so I decided to be active with pain as long as I can. After careful consideration, I picked this item based on price and rating. Though it is not as stiff as a one-piece unit and I am a very strong person, it still gives me the pain relief I need. I don't want to break it where the two pieces join, so I don't apply too much pressure. It won't be an issue for most people. Successive uses on the same areas usually require less pressure.

Great product aside from it having a matt coating on it, making it not slide very easily. I coated mine with a can of clear coat spray paint and now it's perfect. very sturdy for being a 2 piece that snaps together and don't bother trying to unsnap it
