Mendini by Cecilio Premium Grade Silver Closed Hole C Flute with Stand, Book, Deluxe Case and Warranty, MFE-JS+SD+PB

I bought this flute for my 11 year old daughter almost 6 months ago when she suddenly decided she wanted to join band. I was not ready to shell out big bucks for something that might be a passing interest like the guitar I bought her the year before. To my surprise, she has been playing her flute almost everyday since it arrived. On her own, she pulled up some you tube videos and has learned to play to some of her favorite music( ex: Christina Perri's Thousand years). I'm not an expert in music by any means, but I will say that the flute sounds really good. For a kid who has never truly played an instrument until now, she has been playing the he&% out of this flute, daily in band class, and practicing at home each night. The only issue we have had so far was a note not playing. This was a couple of days after she received it. I was a bit irritated thinking I was already going to have to return it. After really looking at it, I realized that a wire for opening and closing the note had moved (probably while she was cleaning it). Once put back in place, there have not been any more problems. I am really happy with this purchase. Good sound at a reasonable price. I would absolutely recommend this Mendini flute to anyone who wants to learn to play without spending lots of money.

My daughter uses this in 6th grade band. We are saving $300-$400 a year having bought this instead of renting. Great quality. Case is great too! Good brand for price. Would recommend this one.

It was great to keep a musician playing

The tone in the first two octaves is very good for such an inexpensive flute. The only issue I had was that the mouthpiece dug into my chin and hurt me. Don't know if all of this group of flutes is the same or mine was just a fluke. I am returning the flute and the accessories that came with it.

I'm quite impressed with this instrument's quality considering the price point.A few of the notes didn't play well, so I had to tweak the pad shimming and spring tension on a few of the valves (something I wouldn't recommend doing yourself unless you possess some baseline of mechanical ability). Based on the instrument I received, I'd plan on either adjusting the instrument yourself or having it serviced before it's ready to go in earnest.

We replaced this item 2 times but after use 2, week or 3 weeks again broken. This product needs to improve the quality.

The E and F notes leaked/screws needed to be tightened which we did. We also looked into a proper repair/tubing which costs almost the same as the flute. In the end we decided to return and rent a much higher quality flute instead.

I bought the flute for my wife. She enjoys playing it. I was happily surprised at how nice it was for the price.
