This medical grade silicone scar gel is interesting. You can use it but you have to ensure you do not expose the part that you have put the gel on to the sun or the scar could get worse. Due to this, I feel a bit uncomfortable using it in the summer and will likely use it continuously in the winter so I will have to provide a detailed update in about 3 to 6 months.Generally when it comes to these types of creams (including this one), they tend to feel sort of sticky and you have to apply a very thin layer as they take quite some time to dry and absorb even though the instructions usually say they dry quickly. I have tested this product and have found it to be the case for this one, too.I like the fact that this product comes in the form of an airless pump as it means that you are not dipping or wiping your fingers over a nozzle and introducing bacteria into the mixture.I think this is a mid range price since it currently costs £24.99 at the time of review. I have used similar types of medical creams before and they have been over the £40 mark for little 30g tubes, so this product is quite generous when it comes to both how much product they provide you with (which actually should last quite a bit if you use it bit by bit) and how much it costs overall.

Having dealt with scars for years, I've tried various treatments. This scar gel is noteworthy for several reasons. It has a silky texture and absorbs well, making application straightforward. I had an operation recently and was seeking a solution to improve the appearance of the resulting scar. Though it hasn't been long enough to see significant results, the initial experience is promising. Applying it at night provides a soothing feel and reduces itching and flaking remarkably. My sensitive skin didn't react negatively, which is a big plus. I appreciate the airless pump for its hygiene benefits too. On older scars, it does create a slight film but feels comfortable. Even if immediate results aren't visible, it seems like consistent use will show improvement. Just be mindful not to expose treated areas to the sun. I’m optimistic but will update after a few more months of use.

I have a few scars that I really want to see the back of, so am hopeful this cream will help them to disappear. However, can't use it in the summer as it advises not to use under sunlight 'minimise exposure of scars to sunlight'. Oh well. Maybe I'll try in the winter. It says new scars can go in 4-8 weeks and to massage well... but in reality, that would happen anyway, especially if you stimulate the skin with a good massage 2-3 times a day, also, old scars - 3-6 months... how many tubes do you need? This is £25 for 50ml, not cheap stuff, I will update in a few months if I've had any success with my old scars, but I think to be fair that the 2-3 times a day of a good massage is what will do the healing, not a clear silicone gel - which you have to massage well because it takes yonks to soak in!

I have a lot of red and raised scars. I have been using silicone on some of them and it has helped take away the tightness, so thought this cream may help.Massaging it in 2-3 times a day like it recommend can be frustrating and impossible. I've been trying for twice a day, but often it is only once.The cream itself is nice and smooth and applies easily, massaging it into the area feels nice.I don't know if its helped reduce my scars that much, as any cream and massage helps, but some have decreased in size and tightness.Id say a combination of cream and massaging works on scars, and whilst this cream is nice and helps with that its a little pricey when you could just get some O'Keeffe's which works great.

This only arrived a few days ago so rather quick to do a review but want to start by saying the cream gel is very silky to the touch and absorbs really well when placed onto the skin.I had an op on my abdomen a couple of months ago. I tried using the oil that everyone recommends to lessen the look of the scar however it didn't really work so far. SO I thought I would give this silicone cream gel a go. I started a few days ago applying it and like I said it feels very nice when applying the and the gel absorbs really well into the skin. No visible signs of improvement yet but I wasn't t expecting it this fast anyway. I will keep applying and give an update in a couple of months

I have a surgical scar that’s about 3 years old. When I first had the surgery, the surgeon prescribed scar gel to help the scar heal. Although there’s no colouration to the scar, the scar is hypertrophic and slightly raised, with a bit of red on the edges.This scar gel is very similar to the prescribed version. It leaves a slight “film” over the scar. It washes off easily too.I have very sensitive skin and get reactions to most plasters. I did a patch test before use and I didn’t have a reaction. I applied it to the scar and it was fine, which is great.The pump is really good. It’s easy to apply just what’s needed for the scar without wasting any.I’ve been applying it every day.Time will tell if anything improves but I’m happy with this product.
