Will this punch a hole through a coin? For a Keychain?

The handles are relatively short not allowing for adequate pressure on the impact point to punch through a coin. It is made for something more of a 20 gauge piece of metal which has not been work hardened. May I suggest a vice and drill bit?

I have arthritis in my han. Is it very hard to squeeze?

It depends on the thickness of what you are punching the hole in. I use it for bottle cap art and I can squeeze it one handed.
