Works well ...
... Provided you follow the directions. The people writing the bad reviews of this product seem to have difficulty reading the very specific directions regarding how to get your computer to recognize it. For Garageband, the easiest way is to plug the cord in BEFORE you open Garageband, then open Garageband and open Preferences ... then go to the audio plug-in. Garageband won't recognize it, but you can still use it. It just won't have an officially recognized name. The product itself works well, given the price, however I found that it had a tendency to sit loose inside the guitar jack, not tight like a typical high-end guitar chord. What does that mean? It means you have to sit still while you're recording. If you move too much, the jack might come loose and your recording will pick up a very audible "CLICK." Other than that, the quality is quite decent.

AMAZING
I could not find this cord anywhere and here it is, It works great and the price is extremely reasonable for a type of cord like this when just the little converter box cost about $150. Why wast money on that when you can get the same type of thing but with a cord... The product came on time said, the price was good and the cord sounds and works like a charm, I actually used it in a band to record

Good, but not perfect.
I have used this cable with both my guitar and my keyboard and I have very few gripes with this product. Pros: -Excellent Quality (See Cons) -Simple To Use -It GLOWS! Cons: -While the quality was amazing for my guitar, the keyboard had a TON of static and lowered quality. This may have been the keyboard, but I'm pretty sure it isn't. -Sometimes (very rare), even the littlest movement will cause static or popping. -This may just be my amp, but the cord refuses to work with the headphone port of my distortion amp. This was an overall good buy, and it's useful for home-studios IF you use computers for mastering/recording/producing. It works on my PC w/FL Studio 8 and on my Mac w/Garage Band.

Good, Quality Cable
I have used this cable for a few years for recording my Casio electronic piano onto my computer and I love it. Once you set it up for the first time, it is quick and easy to use with a nice sound quality.

Might be Cool if it Worked
This thing should be awesome but unfortunately it does not work as advertised. There is a splitter on the 1/4" jack, the idea is that you plug the cable into your guitar and then the USB plug at the other end of the LightSnake goes to your PC, stick another guitar cable into the splitter which then goes to your amp so you can hear what you are recording. The splitter didn't work on mine. Another thing a didn't like is this, why do that splitter thing at all? why not just monitor through the PC (or in my case iBook running Garageband)? Had no problem doing that with my Lexicon Omega. And here's another weird thing. I plugged in an acoustic guitar and my Mac was unable to adjust the input volume at all, odd. Then I plugged in my electric guitar and was fully able to adjust the input volume. How could my Mac decide to disable the input volume on one analog input signal, and not on another analog input signal? Makes no sense! I cannot recommend this product.

(
My lightsnake usb cable started giving trouble all of a sudden... it worked great while it did, but a few days ago I noticed the LED light on the 1/4 jack end stopped lighting... whenever I use it on applications, there's this extremely loud hiss (noise) that I cant get rid off... I really had faith in this cable. :(...

This works...
This works but its bulky kinda gets in the way a little but it does what it needs to do hooks up to my computer flawlessly and I can record my guitar playing even through an effects pedal and even hear what its going to sound like by dual routing another phono cord to my amp which helps cause if you don't do that you can't hear what you are recording. But overall its a really good product.

LightSnake STUSBG10 USB Cable
This product does exactly as it says and works great! I tried it going from my iPod to GarageBand so that I could back up two songs I had purchased but lost from my iTunes Library. Had no issues doing that. Very easy...user friendly. Good price too!
