This is the second time I’ve used this item, and it broke. The quality is very poor, especially considering how expensive it is for such material.

Excellent product, supports my small rig battery very well. I highly recommend to get this.

The threads on the bottom Arca Swiss plate run parallel to the camera back, rather than the lens axis. So if you want to attach a standard Manfrotto plate, this can be only be attached with a single screw and works loose in minutes when filming anything that requires moving the camera. If you try to solve this by adding a female Arca Swiss mount to your Manfrotto plate using two screws, the Arca “receiver” will still have to be positioned in such a way that the locking screw will be situated either beneath the lens, or beneath the folding arm, both totally inaccessible. I just don’t see how to securely attach a camera using this device to a video tripod. It seems to me that the bottom Arca Swiss plate needs to be rotated by 90 degrees to solve this problem and the current design leaves me baffled. Edit after over a year of use: The screws in the locking mechanisms keep falling out! There are no spares included so something as small as this can make the device unusable. All it would need is a plastic retaining cap. My experience with every Chinese cage and accessory I have used is that everything works loose and can fall off, no matter how nice the product looks.

Great system to mount your battery! Especially if you are doing lots of run and gun filmmaking, this versatile Vmount system is perfect for you. I bought it primarily because of its reasonable price, but got convinced by its simplicity and functionality! You can mount smart Vmount batteries on it ( please note it has no electric pins) it is only mounting v mount bats and works with batteries that are equipped with their own power supply. But if you own such, you can easily create superb rigs! What is absolutely fantastic is the arca Swiss compatibility. There’s an Arca Swiss Plate Build in on the other side. That means you can easily mount this whole setup on a compatible tripod.

I have two basic camera packages. A RED package for narrative stuff, and a Sony package for corporate or less ambitious projects. It's critical that I have a power solution for the Sony package, so I run with V-Mount batteries with adapters to run all day. This NEEWER foldable plate is the best, smallest, lightest and least expensive solution for it. I have three of these for my three cameras to create compact and reliable camera rigs for on the run production. As long as the camera rig stays small, this is perfect. My only complaint is with the bottom mounting plate. It's small, and turned 90 degrees of how it would better attach to a tripod plate. I'm aware this is so it can be easily mounted to the DJI gimbal, but I don't use that.
