The assembly insructions are step by step with hardware packaged in stage specific sections. No need to wonder how many of what you need per step. Holes are all drilled where they need to be, so I experienced none of the re-engineering stages common to some products (lookin at you nightstands). Overall I'm happy with the ease of assembly and my wife loves it. Now she has a nice space that's all hers to play WoW and relax.Now for the things to be careful of... Assemble this thing close to where it's going, because the top is a two section piece and there's a set of cams along the midline of the desk. Don't get me wrong, this is absolutely fine for daily use, but given the material thickness and density this would be a failure point during someone trying to move this piece fully assembled as lifting it from each end would put all the stress on these points. If you need to move it, unlock the cams and back the two wood screws out, then carry each section separately. And, the finish is prone to coming off if you use an actual cleaning product on it. Get yourself a can of pledge for this thing, because windex acts as a stripping agent on it (all I did was set the cloth I'd been using to clean the windows down on it for a moment, and the finish acted like wet marker where the cloth was damp).Aside from those two things, this thing is great for the money.

I received this with a huge scratch on it. It took 2 weeks to get here and its going in my bedroom office so I didn't try to return it. It was pretty easy to assemble. The fasteners are labeled with the step they are used in. So if you follow the book, it is super easy. It just scratches so easy. If you are going to put this where everyone can see it, you will need help with assembly just to have someone help lift and keep it protected. I assembled this alone, (62 y.o woman). But I do like it, it is sturdy and suits my needs very much. It doesn't take up a lot of space but gives you the desk top room to work.

So many of these put it together yourself items come with headaches. The pieces are missing the letter stickers, the parts bag is missing screws or brackets etc. the boards have cracks. THIS DESK CAME PERFECT AND WAS THE EASIEST DIY FURNITURE I'VE EVER DONE. There were back up parts. Every piece had it's stick. The desk is solid and looks great. Great buy.

I love this desk it is sturdy and it looks exactly as the picture, but it took my husband 4 hours to put together. I suggest you have it preinstalled or you have at least 2 to 3 people working to get it together fast. also one pieces nail insertion was stripped and I contacted office depot to see if they could send a replacement part and they responded no but that I could return the item. I chose to keep it and figure out a way to make it work

I tore the you you know what it off the linoleum floor with this desk moving it. lol But it's a great deal, very sturdy and does the job for me!

Took a couple hours to put together and i am pretty handy. looks nice and price was right.

I was amazed at how easy this was to assemble and it lookd great too. Give yourself plenty of time but the step by step packaging and instructions were fantastic. So simple! I am very pleased with the quality also.
