The unique float switch housing makes for a highly reliable pump
This is an interesting sump pump, as the float-switch is housed in a small chamber attached to the side of the pump. This arrangement has several advantages over a cable attached floating tilt style switch, the biggest of which is, it is vastly more reliable, as it is far less likely to get tangled or hung-up, which is a common problem with floating switches. In my testing, the float-switch worked well, shutting off the pump with about an inch of water left at the base of the pump. Another advantage of this arrangement is the manual-override is extremely easy to activate, just push the sliding switch to “Manual Override”. This is easier, faster and more reliable than rigging a cabled float-switch in a position where it won’t shut off.As far as the pump, it performed as expected for a pump in this price range. The pump has a 1-1/2” output port and comes with a full-diameter elbow and a series of adapters, making it easy to connect to a variety of hoses, both screw-on and clamp-on, from 1-1/2” down to a 3/4” garden hose. The inclusion of all the adapters is a great value-add to this kit – it saves a lot of time trying to find the right adapter for common hose sizes. The pump comes with a long, attached power cord with a 3-prong grounded plug. No GFI is provided on the cord, which is to be expected at this price point.I used the 3/4” garden hose adapter for my first task, it worked well, with no leaks. I connected 25 feet of 5/8” garden hose and proceeded to empty a few large containers that were filled with rain water. Even with the reduction in diameter, the pump provided a strong, steady flow of water until the water level dropped to about an inch deep. As you would expect, connecting a 1-1/2” hose produced a considerably higher flow-rate. I like having the different adapters, as it allows me to tailor the output to the task. For example: I found the 1-1/2” hose produced too much flow for watering a garden, however, it worked well for emptying a pool. The pump sucks water up from the center of the base. It has small feet molded into the base that provide a narrow stand-off from the floor. There is a course filter grate at the inlet opening. Another advantage of the float-design of this pump is you can use a filter-bag around the pump to filter out debris without affecting the float mechanism, which is a huge plus in situations with leaves or other debris in the water.Bottom-line: An inexpensive, compact, sump pump with a highly reliable float-switch arrangement that performs well. I consider this a good value and a definite improvement over my previous sump pump.

Great pump
This sump pump is a crucial piece of equipment for managing water in basements or crawl spaces. With its easy setup and variety of outlets for different flow rates, it seems like a convenient solution for water drainage. The durable sealing structure and thermoplastic body are great features to prevent corrosion and ensure longevity. Having both manual and automatic modes provides flexibility in operation, and the long power cord and lanyard make it easy to lower the pump to the desired depth. Overall, it is a reliable and efficient tool for keeping water under control.

Water Pump
This is great to have on for small floods. I have used it for my bathroom and it sucked up all the water with ease. Easy to store in the closet and lighter than expected.

Worked great for the most part
The media could not be loaded. Did a great job draining our hot tub but the only gripe I have is it didn't sit flat and tended to float a bit on it's side so I had to tie it off so it sat flat enough. But still did ok. It drained the hot tub in about 35 minutes

Everything We Needed For A Great Price
Usually when you need a sump pump, you need it fast. Luckily we needed one as a back up so we were able to shop around a little first. In picking this one, we liked the fact that it could be used on automatic mode or manual mode. If needed, we could unhook it and use it to clear out water from a different area. It doesn’t need to be a permanent installed fixture in our basement either. That’s pretty handy if you ask me. Of course, setting it up as a primary or back up in a basement, we used the float guided automatic setting so the pump would come on and turn off on its own. It came with all the fittings needed, including Teflon tape. It was well packaged and it’s sturdily built. Installation was simple and fairly quick and the pump works like a charm.

Removed water in record time
My basement recently flooded, within minutes of setting this up, most of the water was gone. The best part is I was able to hook it directly to my septic line, so that made it even easier. I normally have a sump pump due to the fact that my basement has a dirt floor and is constantly getting water, but it had clogged up and stopped working. This made an already bad day way better with the ease, and quickness.
