Volume 2 continues to impress
Ultimate Spider-Man is the most exciting take on the character in years, and Volume 2 shows us who and what this Spider-Man is up against as well as what he stands to lose. This is the strongest Spider-Man's supporting cast has been in a very long time. Whether it's Ben and Jonah at the newspaper, Harry and Gwen at Oscorp, or MJ and Peter's family, Hickman has written compelling, driven characters who deepen the story. This volume brings in several more members of Spider-Man's rogues' gallery, and seeing how these villains fit into the larger story is intriguing. The artwork from Checchetto, Messina, and Wilson is simply stunning. They're fantastic in both the action scenes and in the more human moments. I'm eager to see where this book heads next.

A fantastic addition to my collection
As the title implies, this being the second volume and collection of the new Ultimate Spider-Man run, it serves to continue the issue counts running from Issue NO.6 all the way to the climax of Issue NO.12 and its presented in a beautiful crisp package and has great vibrant printing quality. Chechetto and Hickman are a dream team that is sorely needed for Spider-Man due to Marvel’s incompetence towards the handling of their most prized hero/character.I eagerly await Vol.3 when it comes out in September.

Just a great comic book.
“Ultimate Spider-Man” continues its unmitigated awesomeness with Volume 2, wrapping up what was, by all accounts, a terrific debut year. Jonathan Hickman and artist Marco Checchetto continue to demonstrate, issue after issue, that they just plain “get” Spider-Man: while the Ultimate Universe itself is certainly its own unique beast, complete with variations to well-known characters and storylines, the Spider-Man/Peter Parker that is presented here is the perfect balance of “new” and “old,” providing readers with a take that feels different, yet is still well-honed to the elements that make us want to keep reading Spider-Man comics, even 60+ years after his initial debut.Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this, and going into 2025, “Ultimate Spider-Man” remains the comic book series that I’m most psyched to keep following month after month. If you’re not reading it yet, definitely jump on – it’s only 2 volumes in.Trust me - you’ll be so glad you did.

Family Man Spider-Man provides unique but familiar characters
Weird and misleading cover choice. But overall, this run is amazing. I love most Hickman stuff, and this might be his most grounded but crazy good nonetheless.
