Direct replacement for fluorescent lighting bars Simply loosen the four-location screws, place the lighting bar in position in the aquarium and adjust the brackets to fit and secure the screws. Then lift the aquarium flap covers to the open position and instal the plastic spacers evenly along the LED aluminium lip, this is to ensure the aquarium flap covers are completely level when the aquarium flaps are in the closed position. If replacing a T8 unit it may be necessary to create a new set of aquarium flap covers to fit correctly. Retro fit bracket kit Remove adjustable end brackets as these are not required. Review: Fanstastic, bright light. - Having now used this light for about a month, I can say it is fantastic. I have been keeping fish for decades now and decided to replace a very old tank with a new one. I wanted a light that was bright, easy to control, and good value, all of these things I found in this light. Unlike other users I have had no trouble connecting the Bluetooth unit (purchased at the same time) using my Pixel XL with Android P, so had no issues setting up the sunrise/sunset timers. This feature is much better than on my previous light that just increased/decreased the brightness, love that the red lights come on first for a bit as the other two colours kick in, and the reverse at night, I'm sure my fish appreciate it too! The moonlight function is a brilliant addition, I though not being able to control this would be an issue., but as it turns out its perfectly acceptable, and not another thing to have to adjust. I did mess around with the levels of colour as I found having all three set at 100% made the tank look a bit cold, turning down the blue light really helped in that respect. As for the plant growth, it seems to have turned my ability to not really grow plants well, into a plant growing machine! With the new tank set up I put in some brand new plants, and I have to say they have grown incredibly well in the first month and now I wished I'd placed them a bit better as they are overtaking the front of my tank. The shimmer effect is also wonderful with this light. Overall very pleased with my purchase, probably the best light I have owned in my fish keeping journey so far. Review: The colours are crisp and bright and it looks like a different tank - 1st one arrived box badly damaged and parts missing,replacement arrived 3 days later box damaged but all ok. Fitted all together including the app controller. Switch on and WOW very impressed. The colours are crisp and bright and it looks like a different tank. I know it is exspencive but with the app controller worth every penny. Much better than led unit I was using which was half the price. Would highly recommend this product. Programmable lighting
Works great with my Ipad 2. You can time the on and off only once per 24 hours but thats a normal day / night cycle. There is a sunrise (pink to full light) and sunset for 15 minutes before and after yourf on/off times and 3 hours of blue moonlight after sunset. The fish love it and no longer rush around the tank when the lights slam on and off.

Crap
The light itself is great; that's as far as praise goes. The actual Bluetooth controller (sold seperately) isn't at all intuitive, its clunky and it barely works. Most of the time you can't even connect to it. When you do, the problems don't end. It ranges from settings being ignored, schedule not working at all or working at random times; I am surprised this is even on the market, nevermind in its second interation.

Superb on it's own.
The light unit itself is excellent, however to get the most from it you will need the controller which in my experience is hopeless. See reviews on the Google Play Store for the controller app. If you only want the light unit without adding the controller then it's great. I no longer use my light unit because I'm unable to set lighting times,brightness etc. which was the reason for buying it. £210 down the drain.

Light Up
We have a number of aquariums, all now with LED light fixtures but the Tri Spec High Output LED from Interpet is by far the best unit we have installed. Super easy to fit to an existing tank but there are options for other fittings to different types, we didn't need to make any adjustments this time. The range of light is 120 degrees and the purest white we've got to date, the plants in our tank will no doubt benefit immensely from the improved spectrum. A simple switch to night mode gives the subtle moon light mode, the daytime mode is exceptionally good. No problems in use, fitting and low voltage so very economical to run.
