GoPro Hero 3 Wrist Housing

Wrist housing was used by me in my recent trip to Lakshdweep. I found it very useful while doing under-water photography. This is quite useful for other adventure photography also.

The wrist housing enables hands free use when diving. The housing holds the camera in a stable position and your hands remain free to either work the camera or work diving equipment. The one drawback is that you must get fairly close to the underwater life you wish to photograph and your body tends to spook the fish.

Ich habe lange nach einem Armbandgehäuse für die Gopro gesucht. Leider sind die meisten so aufgebaut, dass man die Gopro nicht wie eine Uhr trägt. Das wollte ich aber unbedingt. Ich habe das Armbandgehäuse nun schon seit einigen Monaten im Gebrauch und bin total zufrieden. Auf Grund der vielen negativen Bewertungen zur Stabilität passe ich beim öffnen und schließen einfach ein bisschen besser auf und bis jetzt hält alles sehr gut. Auch im Rucksack ging bis jetzt nichts kaputt.Das Armband liegt gut am Arm an und lässt sich auch sehr gut in der Größe verstellen. Vor allem zum Tauchen und Fallschirmspringen ist es einfach super und ermöglicht einem auch mal eine andere Perspektive bzw. gibt einem die Möglichkeit auch mal sich selbst und nicht nur die Umgebung zu filmen.

J'ai acheté cet accessoire à mon copain pour Noël pour des activités comme la plongée, snorkeling, roller ou ski par exemple. J'ai mis 4 étoiles car il en est satisfait pour le moment et il remplit bien ses fonctions apparemment.Il est certes un peu cher par rapport à ce qu'on peut trouver sur Amazon mais il s'agît de la marque GoPro (prix moins cher qu'en magasin) et il semble plus robuste que les autres modèles. Sa sangle de fixation semble rassurante, cela évite que la caméra se détache.Une amélioration qui pourrait être intéressant : peut-être une fixation permettant une rotation pour faciliter la prise de photo.

This dive housing works awesome! I have not had any issues using it while diving in Hawaii. I will say, when shore diving, it is super handy having it attached to my wrist while climbing in and out over lava rocks. That said, however, it is not that convenient when trying to film some critters while diving. The GoPro lens is such a wide angle that you have to be pretty close to anything if you want detail in the shot. Not really fond of sticking my arm right up to a Moray eel, or something skittish like an octopus. If that's more what you're going to use it for, I would go with the regular dive housing and a stick of some sort...Not as convenient on crawling out after a dive, but lets you get the camera closer without scaring off the sea life as much, or losing a finger. Overall though, the product itself worked flawlessly; no fog, no leaks, never fell off!
